Ok, let me sum this up....agitate for double dipping to resume: check; threaten to rob if bonuses are not paid: check. Something is very wrong with the way Mr Miller is being undermined as Chairman of BEC. Well I guess that I dare any other MP to challenge the Unions. They may have themselves in the same situation that Leslie Miller finds himself in now. Why hasnt the PM intervened in the BUT and Ministry of Education wrangle. Something usual is going on here!!!!!

On BEC bonuses will be paid

If I were Leslie Miller, I would resign from this post as Chairman of BEC. Every single decision that this man makes concerning getting that cash strapped corporation in order seems to be second-guessed by Mr. Davis and the PM. Do the PM and DPM really have any confidence in Leslie Miller or is there something that we are missing? In my mind, it is very simple: you have asked me to do a job (clean up BEC and make it profitable again-if that is even possible), yet everytime that I make a decision that the Union does not agree with, its leader feels as though he can present his grievance to the PM and DPM. If from the onset, the PM and DPM would have stood behind Leslie Miller's decision concerning double dipping, then this whole mess would not been avoided. It seems like now whenever Mr. Greene has an issue, he will go 'crying' to either the PM or DPM.

Why in hell would any former Chairman of bec ever agree to approving mandatory annual bonuses for BEC employees, when this corporation has not been profitable from before I was born. Lord, I just pray that they do not sabotage the electricity this xmas holiday.

I thought that bonus was based on performance- both by the employee and the business. To my knowledge, B.E.C has been losing money and is not profitable. Granted, there are instances in which a bonuses can be given to reward employees for their performance. However, can we the Bahamian really agree that the employees of BEC deserve a bonus?

*Mr Miller is causing crime to happen because if they can’t get their bonuses the only thing they can do to get the money is rob**.”*

Is this man really serious??? So the people in the private sector who will not be getting a bonus this xmas, should they too also go out there and rob? Mr. Greene please be an advocate for your union members but I beg of you, do not be a jack a$$.

“If Mr Miller wants to fire us, he could fire us but then electricity would be off for months because Mr Miller can’t turn the power back on,” Mr Greene replied.

This is a bona fide threat.....

@Josie, I thought the same thing. I like your analogy.
