Hanging solves nothing and is merely an act of desperation designed to convince the populace that government is being strong. The next government should instead concentrate on instituting a zero tolerance towards corruption, freedom if information, a complete overhall of the judicial system, collaboration with foreign police forces, and a major increase in the education budget. Minnis is appealing to the crowd and should know better.
Why is the Tribune not headlining with the two murders that took place this morning within hours of each other on McCullough Corner and then on Wulff Road?
And another fatal shooting on Wulff Road just an hour later! This is getting beyond scary. What the heck is the Minister of National Security doing about this? This government seems paralyzed. It is rudderless and totally clueless and yet this was the party that asked YOU to trust it on crime!!!!
Nicole, you are a very talented and insightful young writer. You and many young people like you have been badly let down by the political elite of this country. Shame on all of them. I wish you the best of luck in whatever you decide to do.
Regardless of who leads the FNM into the next election, if the people of this country vote in sufficient numbers to allow the PLP another five year term then they will deserve everything that will come their way. For my part, if that's the way it goes, I will offer no sympathy. This administration has taken the country to the edge of financial ruin and it beggars belief that we are even having a conversation about the possibility of Bahamians casting their votes for these jokers. I must be existing in a parallel universe!!
The only conclusion any intelligent person can arrive at is that Perry Christie is hopelessly compromised as leader of this band of ......................you name it. He would like to lead and be a real statesman, no doubt, but everyone has too much on everyone else inside this "Mafia style" cabinet. In true Italian fashion, they are all "made men" and once you are "in" you cannot leave. No one can be fired.
It is clear that the PLP are petrified at the prospect of this matter going to Chapter 11 as their duplicity will be exposed in open court. Thus, this administration will do everything in its power to prevent this from happening even if it means the country going down the toilet.
