The Attorney General is a political appointee and has lost the trust of all educated Bahamians over her role in the withholding of the Rubis report not to mention the Nolle Prosequi incident from a few years back.
Hard and steadfast action is indeed required but that will not come from our inept Minister of National Security. The newspapers are not reporting it but housebreaking and armed robberies has spiked during the last few weeks particularly out west.
Christie has loaded the dice in his favour and will be re-elected by his "fathful sheep" (aka stalwart councelors) who know no better and have no understanding of what this country could be if properly governed. The prospect of this man seeking yet another term as Prime Minister is repugnant to educated Bahamians. The Bahamas is approaching a critical juncture in its 50 year history. The PLP has taken the country to the very precipice and one further term of PLP mis-rule will surely result in a failed state. We really are entering the "last chance saloon".
I can't imagine how PMH will cope when all the civil servants are forced to descend on it for medical services, planned and emergency, once government cancels private health care for all its employees and forces them to accept NHI instead. All hell will surely break loose when the reality strikes home.
Loretta has played her cards really badly in her attempt to lead the FNM. Appointing Rodney Moncur to the Senate was an incredibly stupid play. She has lost all credibility with this crazy appointment and her hopes of leading the FNM, far less the country, are nil to zero. Candia Dames is spot on with her claim that LBT is a "political basket case".
