LOL Exactly Tal! Its laughable comments such as self-proclaimed "House guest of Jesus" that only confirms what I said. Don't worry God is always present and ready to hand out swift justice. LOL

So in other cases of voter intimidation (as read in The Nassau Guardian): The Rt Hon Perry Christie has told Abaconians in a rally that the FNM has no power to help them in approving projects/uplifting Abaco in general because "only Renardo Curry has a seat at the government table" He has also told them that the FNM can "have the best intentions in the world, only hope and pray, but that God has spoken, that God has elected him to be the prime minister of the Bahamas" So my dear Mr. Christie what are you saying?! Are you revoking the PLP mantra of Bahamians first? Are you rewording that mantras as Bahamians first if they wear gold shirts only? My dear Mr. Christie I hope you have prayed for forgiveness in using God in your sick promotion of victimization/voter intimidation, because as the mighty rise, so will the mighty fall and as the scripture says the last shall be first and the first shall be last.

What utter nonsense!! First the goverment wasted money on consultants from the UK to tell them about the widely known ills of gambling and what any revenue would do for a country. Ahem! Giving the Brits a free tree to an island vacation.

NOW!! We are going to waste more money on sending governmental officials to Las Vegas and goverment is not considering allowing Bahamians to gamble in casinoes?!! Please will someone explain how this hair-brained idea has any legs to even be taken seriously!!! You want to understand gaming commissions, please use the world wide web....its an awesome tool to find information!!

This is wasteful and buffoonery at best!

I have always wondered why when I go to a Beerhouse that houses about 300 beers from around the world, that I don't see Kalik or Sands beers. I understand why now. Keep striving Mr. Sands. We as Bahamians at home and abroad are proud of your efforts and what you are trying to achieve for your family and the name of the Bahamas.

I refer everyone to read the Editor's article on: 'Why should they carry handguns?'

Mr. Bell you were an individual with previous history good or bad with the criminals of society before the election and you are alive today to take your post as an MP. What has changed in the past 4 weeks that you feel you are more of an extraordinary man than I to be able to carry a handgun? You are no more special than the janitor or the CEO.

Ironvelvet says...

Well SAID!! This should be on the front page. Although, I know this is editorial (Snickering at previous articles upset about editors giving opinions), but these are the facts.

Shop owners have always been allowed to apply for handguns as far as I know. It was the individuals that had to have special permission and those individuals to my knowledge had to be shop owners/small business owners.

The Bahamian people should protest in Rawson Square.

I think you may be right. Don't know the exact stats, but most people I know that voted DNA were female. I hope this is a wake up call to them though. I mean the leader of the party and now a representative...not looking too good.

Come on over to the red team folks, we have an 'open tent' policy. :-)

Thanks for the inside scoop. LOL

All I have to say is I hope the women of the Bahamas are paying attention to the rights of women supported by the DNA from Moncur to Bran I dunno man.

From Bran and his ideas on outlawing the right to declare that rape can happen in a marriage and Moncur with his ideas on "sperm busting through birth control" I think we should all cringe at the idea that 1950 is trying to make a come back in our present age.

The DNA clearly has no thoughts or respect to women's rights. i am woman hear me roar!!!!!! lol
