A legal cannabis industry, that includes recreational, will create more jobs more quickly than anything else the government can do right now. The FNM missed the boat big time on this cus Dey is dumb. The opportunity for spin off businesses will be as big as farming and dispensaries. Please get this done and for Pete’s sake ignore the Christian council.

Tribune, why y’all disable comments on the marijuana article? I have one simple request, please don’t ever stop referring to it as “Indian hemp” I so love the feeling of 1800’s colonialism it gives me

God bless you for trying Jeremy but the common sense that so many Abaconians possess is sadly in short supply in the Nassau political circles where it is replaced with open corruption, cronyism and greed.

Naughty, you funny bey, but I know you're a comedian. I have to comment on the above article because you seem to be pushing a small story in a big way. And the Alfred E Neuman thing, yes, it's funny, but only once.

"He claims he was never really ‘American’ American,"..... having lived in Abaco for 95% of his life I would agree with this, he's probably more 'Bahamian' Bahamian

"His lack of ‘transparency’ speaks volumes of both".......the PLP and the FNM

and anytime an MP drops a phrase like "pertinent information" hold ya nose because they talking shit.

" And no offense to Abaconians, but we know how ‘yinne’ go"........ no, how do we ''go''? Do you mean that we're ''fiercely independent'' (we are until we line up like sheep and license our cars, boats and businesses, sending untold dollars to Nassau, only to have it disappear. Again)

You're making a big deal out of a small issue, if you have doubts about Mr Pinder's allegiance, let me fill in a blank for you. John Hubert Wellington Pinder the first is "the last surviving Loyalist" and has been since birth and if you don't think that this rubbed off on JHWP 2 you'd be wrong. Please stop worrying about a "paper American" and focus on more serious issues....or not; you're a comedian after all.

"underfunded".....I was on the Hope Town local government 20 years ago, the annual budget we received is still almost exactly the same today. "given the teeth it needs" .....literally everything has to run through Marsh Harbour and or Nassau; I was politely told that we could name or rename our streets without reaching out for permission, but that was pretty much it.

John is a good man and pledged to, if nothing else, make noise on the HOA floor. I think he's off to a good start. Will it translate into concrete action? I recommend you not hold your breath.

Nasty, you serious dread. You just give John his “welcome to politics” moment. But don’t worry about Abaco, we do just fine without Nassau; just like John, plenty Abaconians got Loyalist blood.

Tribanon. I’m waiting for you.

He wants to get away from reliance on big box resorts. These guys are clowns. The civilian and business community have been suggesting that for decades. And btw the backyard farming initiative is great but also decades too late. Introduce that to the first graders and ensure that every graduate of high school is well versed in every aspect of growing food. Lastly if you clowns took some advice from your employers you’d be much better off

Doesn't look good. They spin just about every story out there, I'm pretty sure he is sugar coating this forecast
