These suposed environmentalists are crazy. They want to save a clump of mangroves instead of providing Bimini resident with a job. It smells like a hit job by other business interests. All the Bimini resort is doing is expanding the dock to accommodate their new boat that will bring thousands of new tourists to the tiny island. The Bimini Bay Resort, which is now called Resorts World Bimini, has give every Biminite on the island an opportunity to have a job. The majority of islanders are for the new developments.
I've been to the Bimini resort several times over the last 10 years and I've seen the development from the original Bimini Bay resort, now transformed into the Resort World Miami brand, and I have never seen any degradation of the environment. In fact, I've seen many improvements on the island, including the economy, water, electricity, infrastructure and ecological protection that is being implemented due to the investments of the resorts. MOst of the Biminites I've spoken to are very happy to have the resort.
Bimini is better than it has ever been thanks to the Capo family and the investment by Genting. The island had absolutely no tourism before the resort was built. Most of the people on Bimini support their families from working for the project. The complainers are a front group for another Bahamas developer who has wanted the land. Please don't believe the propaganda from the Bimini Blue Coalition.
The Resorts World Bimini development has changed the lives of most Biminites. For the first time in the history of Bimini, there are now jobs for everyone.
Genting is investing about $500 million into the tiny island resort, cruise ship and airplanes. These 300 jobs are just a small fraction of the total number of jobs that have just been created on Bimini, and also Miami.
Bimini was a bust town until Genting came in and rebuilt the entire infrastructure.
The Bahamian government should have improved the island but Resorts World Bimini put up the money and manpower - and now it’s done - for everyone to use and enjoy.
South Floridians now have another good weekend getaway to go to that is cheap and easy to access.
I wanted to take the first trip on Saturday to inaugurate the ship and be one of the first people to experience the Resorts World Bimini ferry and casino.
I use to go on the Discovery cruises to nowhere, but they don't seem to compare with the luxury boat that Genting bought. There is no good place to gamble in Florida. We only have the indian casinos or the parimutuels. With the Bimini casino only 45 miles away and only $49 to get there, I don't think many Floridians will be going to Vegas anymore.
This is all a bunch or rhetoric from other bahamian developers who are trying to disrupt the Genting project. The "environmental groups" are paid by other Bahamas resorts in an effort to give the Resorts World Bimini project a bad name. It's a shame that the real news doesn't get reported. Genting is helping to transfer the Island of Bimini into the greatest island resort in the world - we should all be grateful of their investments into our faltering economy. Genting has a team of people that make sure the environment is protected. The Bahamas government watches every little thing they do. There would be no way any environmental damage could occur.
The Bimini people are mainly all in favor of the Resorts World Bimini project. It's their only potential employer. There are no other jobs on the island except for the ones that Genting are providing.
The ship has passed ALL inspections and is cleared to go. Sailing are already underway. It only costs $49 each way. It seems to good to be true - but I will check it out and see for myself. Bimini here I come...

WOW, what a great ship!!!!
I just went on the cruise. It was more fun than any of my last trips to Las Vegas. This place is amazing. They have REAL craps tables. I actually won!
The gambling on board was also pretty cool. The ship has six excellent restaurants. We got a cabin for only $25. I will go back again and again
