This whole inspection hoopla is more to do with the Coast Guard pretending to enact stricter safety measures after the Discovery cruise liners problems last year. The Genting Superfast ship cost $70 million. I doubt there are any issues except for getting the correct U.S. required equipment on board.

Yes, Genting did help finance a resort property before in the Bahamas. It was a success until Genting pulled out of the deal. New government officials have cleaned up some of the fraud that had made it hard to run a business in the Bahamas in the past but new safeguards have been set-up to help make business more profitable - and more successful. Gentings new investment in the Bahamas confirms that the governments actions to bring outside investments into the Bahamas is working.

It's good that the old partners are out and that Genting is in. The new partnership with Genting will transform the entire resort into something spectacular. Look at what the company has done elsewhere in the world - it's remarkable. Now it will come to the Bahamas. Bimini will soon be the hottest location in all of the Bahamas.

We finally have a responsible government in place that is helping other companies make investments in our country that will crete jobs and provide taxes for all of us. The naysayers must be from other Bahamian resorts.

Genting has invested over $25 million in the resort, $100 million on a ferry, $150 million on new hotels and they are also starting an airline. They will be investing close to a half a billion dollars on the island. No other company is investing in the Bahamas right now. Genting is the biggest worldwide developer of destination resorts. They will put Bimini, and the bahamas and the map for all the world to finally find. We're only 45 miles from Miami and the Resorts World Superfast ferry only costs $49. Bimini residents can now travel to the U.S. cheaply and fast.

The government will not be running any concessions. Get real. I'm sure Genting will have their own vendors and others will eventually set up shop in Bimini to service all of the new visitors.

Genting DID finish the upgrades at the Government dock in Alice Town and they also are rebuilding the infrastructure of the airport and the entire dock terminal. They also just invested $100 million in a cruise liner that will bring 3,000 visitors per day to Bimini, from Miami. This is a godsend. They are now going to establish an airline to bring vacationers to the Bahamas. Our future Bahamian economy might depend on these investments. We should all be greatfull.

This is the biggest and best thing to ever happen to the Bahamas. Bimini was bust until the Capo family had a vision to build an island paradise only 45 miles from Miami. Now Genting will finish developing the island - and employ nearly everyone on Bimini. Two of my cousins already got jobs at the Resorts World Bimini resort, and they have both been unemployed for 5 years - like everyone else on Bimini. The development will we a boon for the Bahamas and U.S vacationers.
