Your are obviously an idiot and continue to display your distaste for Bahamians. Black ones especially. A lot of young, Black Bahamian men are being killed and many are not involved in any negative or illegal activities. And this has been going on for decades. Some say some of the killings are gang related. Some say some are because the target may be witness to a crime. Some believe some are police involved. And others say it’s a mater of being a friend of a fiend or relative likewise. The question is ‘how long, O Lord, how long?’
Didn’t realize the shooter was intimate with the mother of the decease boys not a blood relative of the deceased. This changes things up a whole lot and begs further investigation. Was there bad blood between the son and the mother’s pat amor and the off duty police seized the moment of opportunity?
A the number of new Covid-19 cases continue to plummet worldwide, these vaccines may not even be relevant or even necessary in November. The true test will come after the US's Thanksgiving weekend to confirm that the Delta strain has peaked and is now on a decline. Some experts suggest that this is the final strain of the Covid-19 virus and in may be history in a few months. one disturbing note though. Both Facebook and YouTube has commenced deactivating accounts that post information that does not support vaccinations. They say they consider any post that speaks out against vaccines false or misinformation. Regardless of how genuine it is. And the Bahamas government is also running adverts telling Bahamians that if they had the Covid disease and recovered, they must still get vaccinated because, 'they can get the virus more than once,' But can you not also get the virus once you are vaccinated and can you not spread the disease? And once you take the vaccines, will you not have to take booster shots at least every six months? So why do they want you to give up natural immunity for an uncertain immunity based on vaccines. Not only does this sound crazy and suspicious, but it is.
Justice was not be done, but must be seen to be done. Do not deny this man the opportunity to retire after years of dedicated service and receive his financial rewards. Especially if it is based of a personal desire to even a score. What is worse than victimization is when it is tic for fac or is done be someone who should know better.
Police almost always respond to these incidents as if the perpetrator is a criminal rather than a mental patient who is in need of medical attention. Yes police are not expected to put their lives or that of others in harms way or danger, but because of the numbers of ‘mental patients’ in society, eventually some police are going to have to be trained on how to intervene in these critical type situations without bringing harm or death to any of the parties. Many patients suffering from mental challenges are placed on psychotic drugs, which should normally include therapy and counseling. But because of the volume of patients and the limitations of facilities and professionals the patients are put on medication and must then fen for themselves. And many because aggressive and even violent when they have a breakdown. And professionals predict that the number of persons suffering from mental disorders will increase dilute to the corona pandemic.
My prediction is Covid 19 will dissipate over the next few weeks to the point where it will be safe to have both modified Junkanoo and Carnival by Christmas. Carnival will have to be spread out over a wider area and access limited to 1/3 the normal capacity.sanitizing will be the major issue for rides and games but it is no more unsafe than riding the jitney or a plane. As for Junkanoo it can be an undressed rush on both occasions, Boxing Day and New Years. Groups with restrictions will rush from Arawak Cayto Potters Cay and the focus will be on performance and music. Spectators will have to social distance and can line the route from Arawak Cay to potters Cay and both events will be broadcast live.
As you may notice, there is a fierce battle going on amongst the ‘big boys’. Not only just for market share, but for survival. The Solomons/ CostRight, AID, Kelly’s, CBS and, of course Quality Home Center. Not only are these stores expanding their footprint with new and/or expanded locations, but they are also expanding into other lines f merchandise. Some into clothing, hardware and footwear. And they are not only gobbling up smaller entities, but they now also pose a threat to the Super Values and Qualify Markets who will definitely not be able to continue to compete on just a foodstuffs alone format. And the format of these new stores is to carry more SKU’s but less inventory. Meaning the variety of items they sell will increase but the quantity of each item kept in inventory will decrease. In marketing it is called JIT or ‘just in time inventory’ when new inventory arrives just before the old inventory is about to run out. But will these giants with their expanded SKU’s be able to survive? The market is depressed but still strongly competitive.
Despite the economy being practically wide open now, many businesses are still struggling to meet overhead. Some have accumulated huge rent and mortgage arrears that will have to be tackled. And the economy is still very fickle. Because consumers also are in debt. And with government discontinuing it’s injections into the economy vis a vis food distribution, unemployment assistance and financial assistance to businesses, some businesses will really feel the rubber hitting the road. Hopefully tourism will rebound sufficiently to keep these businesses afloat.
