The PM coy on reasons for early election; like he is telling supporters ( (Bahamians). It will be their time next time. So whose time is it now? Bahamians want to support Minnis and the FNM because it will be in their interest to keep the same government in place during this pandemic and corresponding global crisis, it is costly to replace a government. But Bahamians do not like the coy, sneaky and evasive( and sometimes arrogant) personality Minnis has taken on of late.

Expect the Covid cases to double next week and triple after election. Minnis led y’all to the slaughter! And Brave did no better. Get the refrigerated containers ready for dead bodies

Not only India but all countries that have low or no vaccinations. The vaccines turn the vaccinated into super spreaders so imagine what will happen when they start giving third doses and increasing antibodies in the vaccinated 20 fold. What beast is this that has been unleashed

Too many in the Bahamian population are now exposed to tourists coming into the country with their status unknown. Vaccines alone is not the solution as these people people apparently who are vaccinated are taking the virus into the broader community and into their homes. So unless everyone they come in contact with us also vaccinated that is ineffective. When the pandemic first began, some doctors and other frontline workers were renting apartments and finding ways to avoid interacting with family members on a daily basis. Now tourists can walk into the country and go anywhere Open to the public. The country has been made to vulnerable for a great disaster.

Apparently this administration has hit a brick wall on how t manage its tourism and its borders inn light of the fact that the US now has skyrocketing numbers of nee Corona cases and deaths. And Florida had the largest increase in both new cases and deaths yet government has issued no advisory or restrictions to persons traveling to and from that state. It is understandable that they don’t want further disruptions to the tourism industry, so are they going to sit back anf and let the country burn?

By holding elections in the middle of a Pandemic , Minnis opened many doors for the outcome of this election to be challenged (and overturned). Apparently they have yet to figure out how to avoid voters from having to dip their thumbs in a bottle of ink that may be contaminated with the corona virus. What about individual ‘ink-strips’ that cann be wrapped around a voter’s thumb to ink it, then disposed.

‘Pfizer and BioNTech have started the process for a full approval of a booster dose of their Covid-19 vaccine in people aged 16 years and older, the drugmakers said on Wednesday.

The companies intend to complete the submission by the end of this week. This could potentially pave the way for a third dose that can be offered to people with compromised immune systems.’ Pfizer wants to start issuing third doses six months after a person is fully vaccinated rather than eight months. Why the big change? For one, the US cases are again skyrocketing and now exceeds 170,000 daily cases. The new cases can exceed 200,000 in a matter of days. Florida leads the list in the number of new cases and deaths. With the exception of Indonesia ) 1,000 plus daily deaths ) the US is recording twice as many deaths as any other country. A confirmation that vaccines alone are not effective in combating the virus. Florida is one of the states that doesn’t want to enforce mandatory mask laws, especially amongst school children. Johnson and Johnson also is pondering giving its vaccinated a second dose. The vaccine manufacturer says a second dose will dramatically increase the protection against the Delta strain especially.

On Pfizer nod gives confidence boost

Orlando-based Red Lobster may close a few restaurants, but there are no plans for mass shutdowns as the company works to address its sliding revenue and a $355 million loan amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Seafood supplier Thai Union, which bought a stake in Red Lobster in 2016, provided details on an earnings call this month about how the chain of more than 700 restaurants was responding to the pandemic, which has hammered much of the restaurant industry.
