The Bahamas has a lot to celebrate. Last year this time Bahamians we’re being arrested for going to the public pump, or going in search of food or medicine. And less than 50 years ago Bahamians had to carry a British passport. And even before then, most Bahamians were slaves whose masters could barely afford to feed and clothe them. Yes, Bahamians have a lot to celebrate and even more to protect their birthright. As the value of the country increases , more carpet baggers will come looking to steal the wealth. Our leaders must continue to guard our heritage. May God, Almighty continue to bless the Commonwealth of the Bahamas!
And it really doesn’t make sense how Bahamians are crowding some restaurants and establishments out west especially. Children included. Once the crowd becomes too thick or too large, it negates the fact that you are outside. The Covid-19 force needs to visit these establishments and indicate how many persons can be seated at any one time. Remember everyone has to remove their masks to eat or drink and being jammed up in close quarters can easily lead to breathing in a stranger’s face.
D’Aguilar is about building his legacy and/or boosting his chances of being re-elected. The increasing covid-19 cases is directly related to increased visitor arrivals . Rather than continue to increase the numbers, D’Aguilar should find a comfort level for visitor arrivals. Then after that there should be a waiting list. Visitors staying in hotels should be given priority over cruise passengers. But maybe natural heard immunity will be created and Bahamians will become immune to Corona.
Some experts say the pandemic would be further gone had there been no vaccines. And yes there have been another uptick in cases in many countries and worldwide. The Pfizer company is seeking permission to give a third jab starting in December. Is this a money making scheme or a genuine vaccine process? But some are celebrating the pandemic as being over and the virus as dying. Vaccinated or not, safety should always be priority number one.
CDC contradicts itself once again . Says US schools will be fully opened in the fall. And students who are fully vaccinated will not be required to wear masks. Didn’t they just say this is unsafe and risky ?
Other parties must be extremely vigilant, especially with this ‘so called’ permanent register. Ensure it is Bahamians who elect their government and NOT their neighbors.., nuff said
Notice how the FAKE ‘war in drugs’ escalated after Minnis said they were ready to debate (and passs) the marijuana bill? Certain agencies in America doesn’t want this bill passed because it would make the presence of hundreds of their agents in this country not justified. And what does these agents do? Wreak havoc on Bahamians and this society. Too many Bahamians, especially young males are dying under questionable circumstances. But our PM and definitely the minister of national security are being hoodwinked and bamboozled by foreigners with ulterior motives. Your VOTE counts! Minnis cannot win an election unless he addresses the marijuana issue.
Mari Dames needs to stop prostituting the policy dem for his own political gain. Fire him! If they come to your house over the weekend, make sure they have a search warrant
They say Paul Rolle sent officers to some of the most criminally hardened stretches of Nassy. Yet he ( or he officers dem) cannot gain access to parts of albany, old fort bay, lyy CAY and other parts of the bahamas.. and bahamians trying to make a living cannot gain access to their own beaches !!! Happy In depends
