Maybe if you stop responding to your crude and insensitive posts all the time, your Bahamian bashing and mischief making will be more credible.

two points: if you remove India’s numbers from the statistics for the number of new corona cases worldwide, both the numbers of new cases and deaths are down fifty percent, compared to this time last year. And while no one can deny the world is going through a third wave of Covid-19, whilst this wave may be more infectious, it is fast moving and less deadly. And if it is the final wave, the world can have a Corona free summer or fall, at least. TWO: The efforts to vaccinate the majority of the world’s population against Covid-19 are hitting brick walls around the world. Apparently most people who wanted to be vaccinated have already done so or the vaccines are not available in areas where others may want it. But vaccinations have stalled in most developed countries including the United States. Maybe people don’t see the benefits of the vaccines or they are still skeptical. The PFIZER company has moved to get its vaccine fully improved by the FDA. The company believes by moving the drug from ‘emergency use’ to ‘fully approved’. Will remove some of the skepticism clouding the vaccine and encourage more people to get vaccinated. So will there now be a trade war of sorts between the vaccine manufacturers to get more of their vaccines used? These drugs have s short shelf life and one is very expensive to store and transport. They may need your Armageddon..err that should read ‘arm again’

Government should spend a millionor two and redevelop the entire area. Plans were left in place.

These numerous fires over the past few weeks, the most recent which have claimed a life are starting to look spooky. Especially considering they are also happening on the Family Islands. But with the multi-billion dollar tourism rebuild, it will be a tragedy if government does not assist the fee Bahamians that are allowed to participate in this sector ( as entrepreneurs). to rebrand, improve and upgrade their products and services. ALL., yes ALL foreign owned businesses operating in the tourism industry get some form of government assistance, from tax breaks, tax exemptions, free property, assistance with advertising and promotions. And ALL you who oppose government assisting these vendors to the tune of several thousand dollars needs to take y’all prejudice, Bahamians hatin selves back home. Y’all could only be foreigners! Bah Mar alone got over $1 billion in concessions.

Narrow thinking! Who is to say Minnis will be prime minister or the FNM will form the government after May 2022? The tides are turning, if only for the fact that Bahamians grow vary easily, and they love change. Plus they are battle worn. Look at the pre-election efforts in Killarney alone. Land give-away, road re-paving, new school…Minnis getting the message that even he seat ain’t safe on this lap. Not that most Bahamians want the PLP back, but it is a great possibility. Ask Donald Trump what arrogance does.

Do you know the family of the founders of the Johnson and Johnson company that makes one of the Covid-19 vaccines is no strangers to the Bahamas? They held properties on one of the family islands for many years. They sold the majority shares in Johnson and Johnson many years ago when it was just a baby products and female hygiene company. They too are in mourning as they have lost a loved one overnight. A second home resident of the Bahamas for many years and will be much missed. May she RIP.

So what if one was to take a cue from the Governor of The Central Bank? He claims that the next few months will be very crucial for the government of The Bahamas. There will have to be a lot of heavy lifting and a lot of heavy borrowing (increased taxes is not recommended but may be necessary) if government is to complete the bridge between a collapsed, pandemic economy to a rebuild and recovery. He also believes government still has enough leg room to wiggle some loans and is not yet at its maximum. So will government attempt to snap an election before it attempts to immerse itself deeper in debt. Additional burden on the backs of the taxpayers? So they buy themselves some time by calling elections first, than taking out additional loans and having another five years to pay it off. But the great advantage this country has is investor confidence is high. Especially those waiting for the tourism sector to reopen and to bounce back. There are lots of construction projects in the pipeline. Should the government be more patient with the tourism industry and focus more on getting these construction projects moving. That should create a good and pleasant atmosphere for an election.
