Isn’t it ironic that so many young man are shot and killed whilst playing dominoes in this country? The irony being, just as domonioes fall one after each other, after the first one falls. So are the lives of young men being taken away. For example let’s say a person is shot and killed. Shortly thereafter another life is taken or several persons shot in what police calls a retaliation. Then assume someone is arrested for either or both of the two murders. Only the police has the evidence because usually there are no eyewitnesses. So the suspect(s) goes to prison and is awaiting trial. But before the trial is had, the suspect( s) is released from jail. Then in a matter of hours, days or weeks the suspect is gunned down and killed. By what police again called retaliation or, in this instance, by police. In many instances, persons killed in this fashion has maintained their innocence and looking forward to having, ‘their day in court.’ But that day never comes, because the moment they are killed, the case becomes nullified. Dead men don’t count and neither can they talk or defend themselves. And once they have Satan’s Mark on them, that of a murderer, it’s only a matter of time. And then there are the friends, family and others who have no real closure. Some go to the grave knowing thei person was innocent, but live from day to day under the cloud that the person has been charged and branded a cold blooded murderer. And whether innocent or guilty, they may have lost their life because they were accused of murder. Seems like a well organized and ongoing plot to kill out the young men in this country. And we sit and allow organized killers to take our son sand fathers and even the future of this country. Many years ago then Prime Minister, Lynden Pindling said it was time to meet with the ‘so called ‘gang leaders’ and find out what is really going on. There is only one country in the world that declared war on Black people and Muslims.

PS: when persons who were released from jail were gunned down and killed with days and sometimes hours of being released, the public always suspected the police were involved. This incident tends to confirm those suspicions.

We have a legal (or government authorized and sanctioned) killing squad in this country. One that is taking law into its own hands. It is undermining the law in this country and overriding and overruling the court system. Police have been given the legal power (de facto) to kill without question or accountability. The danger of this activity is the number of persons Marvin Dames, Commissioner Rolle and their killing squad deem necessary to ‘put down,’ is increasing. And the Bahamian people must exercise their rights to make these police account. Marvin Dames must NOT be re-elected to office and Rolle must be fired.

This will not be a landslide victory for any party this election. Most of the seasoned voters will vote along party lines so it will be the new voters and swing voters who will factor most heavily. So expect ba nail biting experience. The swing voters can almost always determine the election when voters are not highly upset with the governing party, but the new voters will have the radical vote. And, of course, that vote is split almost equally among the two major parties with a small fraction going to the DNA and others remaining uncommitted. As for the DNA, it’s still a hard sell and as election approaches, maybe they should put most of their resources where they can gain one or two seats. And if the DNA wins no seats this election, look for that party to dissipate, dissolve or disappear.

When you hear the police account of these killings and that of eyewitnesses, the difference is like night and day. And many believe the police are overriding the justice system and overruling the courts with these killings that are not properly investigated. Right now the police are the judge, jury and executioner. And this type of policing tends to drive crime rather than reduce it. Compare today’s crime statistics ( and police killings) to those of ten years ago. And police who are ‘forced’ or encouraged to carry out these (questionable) type killings either turn into rogue police officers or they lose their heads (drugs and alcohol abuse too) and have to quit the force. The taxpayers paid for body cams. When will the footage be made available. And since this was a special operations squad involved in the killing, at least one of the three officers involved should have had on a body cam. Or maybe the squad car that had a dash cam?

Has the US State Department ever issued a statement on the number of police killings in this country and the fact that they are not being investigated? Guess why?

John says...

America will meet it’s day of atonement

John says...

Maybe the US State Department can explain why so many US Veterans are homeless, injured and committing suicide everyday after they have to been duped into fighting a ‘war for their freedom,’ when it was actually a ‘war for drugs!’

John says...

Half of America was built on the proceeds of drugs. And the other half on the backs of slaves. And what did the White man do to the American Native Indians? So what is there in America to be proud of, much less bow down and worship? The moral fabric of the USA has been torn long time now. The skin of it’s true character is being revealed for the world to see.

John says...

Maybe the US State Department can explain why the United States, despite not having the largest population in the world, has the largest population of prisoners in the world. Maybe they can explain why 1 of every 3 Black babies born in America will end up behind bars in America and others gunned or somehow killed by police or law enforcement. And is Marvin acting as an agent of the United States or out of ignorance when he is stupidly and dangerously trying to implement the racist, yes racist policing tactics of America in this country.. Marvin Dames must NOT be re-elected! The US State Department has been at war with the Black population of The Bahamas, even since Sir Lynden Pindling was prime minister. And the majority of Americans do not support this stance.
