Is Moultrie ( in a kind of way) the most powerful man in the country whenever the house meets?

Happy ‘sticking’

John says...

The point is the difference between a rogue officer committing an offence, such as an unjustified shooting of a suspect and institutional corruption or miscarriage of justice, when the force, as a unit decides it will take out and murder certain suspects and then get blessings all the way to the ministerial level. So the dash and body cams will be and are useless unless they can be viewed and scrutinized by an independent body.

John says...

cobolt. Obviously you suffer from lack of comprehension. My comments were to the effect that if police are in fact wearing body can’t and there is a police shoot, then the footage should be made available to the public (as was the foootages of the storming if the White House). Don’t use your racially poisonous blue veins to twist what I posted and advance your own twisted agenda! Have ANY footage from the RBPF been made publicly available since body or dash cams were introduced? If fact if there is a genuine inquiry of any police matter that happens in public, there is usually sufficient amount of the incident recorded by the public to determine what happened. So ‘agent’ Dames should not be re-elected to allow young,Bahamian men to be slaughtered.

John says...

Marvin Dames. Should NOT be re-elected! With the millions and millions of taxpayers money spent on his various toys, are Bahamian people more safer than they were four years ago? With body cameras and dash cameras in use, why is it still the police word alone when there is a police involved shooting? Public opinion is that if the police were made to be more accountable in police involved shootings, the other shootings will also decrease.

John says...

So what will be next? A ‘retaliatory’ shooting? Another shooting or a police involved shooting? It has become like clockwork...the murders and the broken hearts and broken homes. The children being left to grow up without fathers and the country’s future being made less certain as the ground again opens itself and swallows what could be innocent blood. What is the count now, for the month, for the year for this decade? RIP.

Even as the economy is the most active it has been since it started to close down around this same time last year, the bottom is continuing to fall out for individuals, families and businesses. And the road to recovery and the state of ‘normalcy’, whatever that is will be a long and difficult road. Some will spend the next few months or years even, trying to catch up with rent or mortgage payments, utilities and school fees or even effecting much needed repairs to homes or vehicles and replacing used up or worn out furniture and appliances. And some will not be fortunate as they remain unemployed and as sources of food and financial assistance continue to dry up. Then with several thousand Bahamians being infected with the Corona virus, there may be lingering or yet unexposed symptoms that may leave some fully or partially disabled and unable to work and earn an income. For certain, the number of persons on the streets of New Providence and Grand Bahama begging for a dollar or other handouts have increased. And obviously and sadly, some are in a shaken mental state. And obviously the mental toll of corona will be felt a long time, not only in this country, but around the world. And then there’s the children and the elderly, who have been locked down for much more periods than most.

John says...

Is John Pinder telling workers to jump out the pot and into the fire? Yes, it’s good to encourage people to become entrepreneurs and become self employed, but in this harshly brutal economy, even established businesses are having to shut their doors for good. Not only is the economy in deep recession due to the corona pandemic, but the uncertainty of the future and the extremely high cost of living has caused consumers to tighten their purse strings and try clutch on to every dollar as long as they can. And if Ine has uncertainty about returning to work, they will not want to risk their redundancy money in business ventures. But yes, those displaced workers will have time on their hands. And time is money. And rather than sit around wasting time. Maybe they can seek out small, low risk business ventures. Build as you grow. Obviously as Bah Mar constructs it’s theme park and other resorts do upgrades and refurbishments, it is with great expectation that the tourist market will bounce back.

John says...

Corona numbers have been plummeting before the vaccines what even started being administered. In fact corona may be mostly gone before the end of this month and definitely by summer. But the concern will be lingering symptoms that may leave some people partially or fully disabled and unable to work or support themselves or a family. But yes, many people around the world are suffering from corona fatigue and are anxious to travel once the all clear is given.

White man? How many more years of slavery do you want?
