Practically ALL the US and the majority of Europe are experiencing unprecedented spikes/surges in corona cases, hospitalizations and deaths. They are now going into lockdowns, curfews, and the restricting of certain businesses and some social activities. We have already crossed these burning sands, at least partially, and to go back is like committing corona suicide. Remember when the PM asked Bahamians to give him a few more weeks with the curfews and lockdowns? Well, maybe the PM needs to give the Bahamians a few more weeks with the borders closed. He, himself admits the medical/health system is strained and overburdened due to the high number of corona cases. Why add fire to the fuel (sic).
Another thing reporters seemed to have missed (or ignored ) in Dr Dahl Regis presentation was her confirmation that after the corona related deaths are discounted in 2020, the net number of deaths occurring in 2020 is still significantly more than deaths in 2019. So if murders are down by 20-30%) what is contributing to the increase in deaths, especially since deaths due to homicides are said to be down by a significant amount?
Dr Dahl-Regis said That there has been no flattening in the curve in the second wave. But there has been a trending down of the numbers of new cases, hospitalizations and deaths, which is even better than a flattened curve. You would prefer the curve to flatten when the numbers of nee cases fall close to zero or under 20 per day at least. But Dr Regis says they expect the numbers to start increasing again when tourism reopens. So is the country doing the same thing all over again and expecting a different result?
If this officer is not charged and convicted of murder than every citizen needs to line up in front of police headquarters and take their shot too. They send these officers on the family with firearms with no controls. So they go out drinking alcohol and unprovoked, kills a young man for less than a half bag of weed. And the commissioner of police is no less complicit for his comments about the law on marijuana. He also needs to resign for wearing an Uncle Top cap when the world is in crisis. Will the fat lady sing this time?
