The Corona numbers are surging worldwide and especially in The US and Europe. And whilst more lockdowns are being implemented in Europe, there are calls for martial law in America to enforce Corona emergency laws like social distancing and the wearing of masks. And if that wasn’t bed enough tons and tons of food is rotting in the fields as the demand has been cut in half due to hotels and restaurants being closed and food processing plants being closed due to workers contracting the corona virus. The US Gulf coast has been hit by four hurricanes and the Weat Coast may hopefully get some relief this weekend as rainstorms move inland and hopefully quench long raging fires

The weekend lockdowns are not as bad as the full seven or two weeks lockdowns, as research shows that, with the exception of prepared food(dining), consumers will still purchase most of what they would have purchased during the lockdowns. The daily number of cases in the US is now double what it was in June, but one state, Idaho, has seen its cases tumble by 75%. And the reason for the fall in numbers is that state had been more strictly enforcing the wearing of masks, social distancing and the discontinuation of risky activities such as indoor dining, gyms and the like. Here rather than just beating up on those who violate the safety measures, (partying and large gatherings) government may need to take more measures to educate the general population about safety measures. For example, at this stage, many don’t know how to properly wear a mask or how to disinfect or store the reusable bones. Some still think the mask is only supposed to cover the mouth and not the nose. Then in some work places, once there are no customers present, the employees would remove their masks and sit in close proximity having conversations. Likewise in neighborhoods where residents don’t wear masks or social distance because they don’t believe or realize they can get the virus from a neighbor or even a member of the same household. And some gather in groups playing dominoes or video games or watching sports. Then, of course, government buildings, especially bthose that cater to the public, seem to be a different type of hotspot. Some of these buildings are old and are windowless and have ac units that circulate entire floors or even the entire building. The recommendations are to reduce staff and increase airflow that also involve air exchange rather than just recirculating.

Can’t we all just get along? I saw this woman go in the food store this pre- lockdown weekend. And she took gloves out her bag and put them on. Then a ppe goen and put that on. Then protective covers for her shoes and put those on. And she went about her business through the store shopping drawing little or no attention. Then there were other shoppers, they had their masks on but they still can like inches within beach other. Going into the deli section, the three staff there were in a hurdle sharing a joke among themselves. Then going to the cashier, the packing boys were crowded in a group waiting for their turn to pack groceries. Is it really just lack of education and information and proper guidance that is helping to spread this virus? Not because you work together means you are safe with each other and don’t need to practice social distancing and safety measures. Then they go home to their respective houses and families and again get in close proximity

attention minnis...Just released: ‘ The World Health Organisation has backflipped on its original COVID-19 stance after calling for world leaders to stop locking down their countries and economies.

Dr. David Nabarro from the WHO appealed to world leaders yesterday, telling them to stop “using lockdowns as your primary control method” of the coronavirus.

He also claimed that the only thing lockdowns achieved was poverty – with no mention of the potential lives saved.

“Lockdowns just have one consequence that you must never ever belittle, and that is making poor people an awful lot poorer,” he said.

Not truly correct. Most African states went through a lockdown and all the safety measures. But they flatten the curve and the numbers remain low. Does it mean the second wave hasn’t hit them yet or does it mean otherwise?

Well at least it doesn’t appear Bahamians will be storming to Florida this year celebrating ‘Thanksgiving’ which has nothing to do with Bahamians, but is in fact a celebration of a people who wiped out almost the entire population of Native Americans to steal their land, even after these same victims taught them how to survive in North America.

And how many cases did Florida have yesterday compared to a few weeks ago. Are Florida numbers down or no? Are New York numbers up in the past few weeks? Don’t play the numbers game dude! The bottom line is Florida is seeing declining numbers whilst New York and New Jersey and other parts of the US are seeing increasing numbers of Corona, new spikes, more surges, nee records being broken, yes or no?
