One Number Minnis should pay particular attention to is the number of people lined up to the liquor stores every day. From they open until they close. Are the stress of the Corona pandemic and the corresponding lockdowns and job losses leading people to alcoholism?
Are the Numbers on Nee Providence not flattening or they event/incident sensitive. Meaning if you look at the daily curve fir New Providence there is some flattening out, but apparently when there’s some event , like a full military funeral or a funeral fir one in the Saxons Junkanoo Family. Or an event to welcome back the leader of the opposition ( that ends in a Junkanoo rush out, these cause daily spikes on the curve and make it appear to not be flattening. The most recent event is the back to school shopping. Whilst most stores in the mall enforced safety distancing protocols, the hall of the mall became crowded, and so that along with students taking national exams and others returning to physical classes will have effect on the numbers over the next two weeks.
Is Trump mentally fit to continue as president, even through elections? Not only the direct consequences of his behavior, like the possibility of infecting more people, but what signals are he sending to the average American and around the world?
Trump is definitely sick! He left his hospital today to drive past a group of supporters. The idiot had a highly contagious disease and by law should be in quarantine for 14 days. Shameful and totally irresponsible
Trump is also suffering from fatigue. And that will be a factor in his doctors decision to release him tomorrow or keep him ‘resting’ fir a few more days. Despite his intentions, since being elected, Trump has been like the energizer bunny day and night fulfilling the duties of his office and keeping abreast with social media and newscast.. the man is not super human and needs rest. He is in good shape fior his age, but come on!
Go ride pass the beaches right now and see the dozens of cars the Covid -19 ambassadors have lined up. Giving them tickets for just parking on the beach. Just a few minutes past the 12 o’clock closure. This can’t be right. In fact this is totally wrong, especially after Minnis himself said ‘who cares if you stay an hour or two after the closing ?’ And it is not a small matter. If a family of five is ticketed at $200 a person, that’s a total of $1,000! And imagine the trauma for the children who may have begged their parents to take them to the beach ! Minnis you have fumbled against the Bahamian people again ! Why are you punishing your people and inciting them to riot?
Many would like to see Trump recovered and finish the battle for another four years in the White House. Yes it will be a strange and unusual peace if he loses but hopefully it is after a speedy recovery and return to health.
As long as a country's borders are open, that country's waves will be directly correlated with the world, and more especially those countries to which persons travel to and from. Actions the country take internally, like social distancing, wearing of masks and lockdowns of the beaches etc.,will curb the number of cases and the severity of the illness, but the waves will be determined otherwise. Then there is the question of reinfection.
Not only are they telling you you cannot park on the beaches, but they are also giving you $200.00 tickets for doing so. And some of these COVID ambassadors look like they need a dip or two in the waters themselves
