And it's not a Chinese virus! It was in The Bahamas (Abaco and Grand Bahama) since Dorian last year. And guess what happened to the pilots who flew the reconnaissance aircraft over the hurricane?

You can imagine the conversation in the White House last night. Melania "But Donald, I told you to wear the mask." Donald: "O sush with it, we will beat this together with all my supporters." Imagine the hundreds that attended his rallies without social distancing or wearing masks.

Are you serious? Like seriously out of your mind?

And who are you to say these are all Bahamians posting? Some of these are paid bloggers!

And his intention was to expose some of Joe Biden's health issues... Karma? Hopefully it will temper him from feeling invincible.

The covid law about false information is not intended to suppress opinion, but to snuff out fake news.

Many said he looked heated and even sweaty during the debate. The man that called the virus a hoax and at one point refused to wear a mask

While the number of cases may be questionable and estimated and inconclusive and uncertain, the number of deaths is certain and so are the number of hospitalizations. Hospitalizations are decreasing, and while there is a surge in deaths after the second lockdown and reopening, these are expected to taper off. But yes, there will be fatalities.

A local physician touts that the current way the country is dealing with the pandemic is much more appropriate and will eventually yield better results than the hard and complete lockdowns that attempt to shelter the population completely from the virus. But once the lockdown is ended, the virus may have mutated several times and the population is now more vulnerable to the disease. And he claims a pandemic is not just a medical crisis but also a social concern. Lockdowns create their own problems, causing inconvenience, stopping economic activity, creating national, business, and personal debt, creating loneliness and panic, and even suicide.

This Dr. suggests that a population should have limited exposure to the virus by exercising social distancing, wearing masks, regular handwashing, some curfews, and the suspension of some high-risk businesses and activities. Basically, those that draw large crowds and require close personal interaction. In addition to the health and safety measures, this Dr. also suggests strengthening of the immune system with supplements of vitamin D and Zinc. Local Bahamians still have limited access to beaches and it has been documented that direct sunlight helps in ridding the body of the coronavirus.

So. yes more persons will test positive for the virus, but at the same timeless people will become severely ill and require hospitalization. The limited exposure to the virus will allow most people to develop immunity to the virus. Individual immunity at this stage and not heard immunity at this stage. But as more people become exposed/infected with the virus the effects of herd immunity kicks in and the virus will eventually disappear because there are no 'new' bodies to infect.

The CDC has again extended the ‘Do NOT sail’ orders for US cruise ships to October 31st. To try to blame or imply it’s due to the increased COVID-19 cases on New Providence is disingenuous and slimy. Over 35 US states including Florida are seeing surges in corona cases and deaths. And quite a number of states, including Florida are seeing new records for cases and deaths. And it is not affecting just the cruise industry but the airline industry may lay off or furlough as many as 45,000 employees as soon as today. People are just refusing to fly. Disney Land and Disney World have plans to lay off as many as 28,000 employees. People are refusing to take their families out to public places. So Nassau’s port and The Bahamas are just links on the cruise line train of operations. And until the Corona cases are brought under control in the state of the ports of embarkation, trying to place the blame is petty, mischievous and discriminatory

On Nassau's COVID rate is cruise line concern

Some of these sidewalks are a disaster and disgrace. Why are they still building sidewalks around light poles? If someone is in a wheelchair or pushing a trolley or baby stroller they must still come off the sidewalk and into the street everytime it meets one of these obstacles. So they decide to stay on the street. Secondly, there are areas where sidewalks are being constructed 1-2 inches below the road surface. So when it rains, the sidewalks flood before the streets. And three, when there is extra space on the curbside, they take the sidewalks four, five, sick feet away from the road. Making it isolated. So no one is going to use those sidewalks, especially in the night. Why not align the sidewalks with the road and landscape the area behind the sidewalks? And finally sidewalks should be homogeneous, and continuous. Some ar three feet wide, four feet wide 2 feet wide. They should also line up with each other if only for aesthetic purposes. No qualms with the government spending the money and putting people to work but do it properly. Especially in areas where there is high foot traffic or high speed traffic
