The U.K. has taken a kind of ‘survival of the fittest,’ approach. They are not doing any active testing for the virus and it’s like ‘who gets it get it.’ And they will mitigate a patient’s recovery within reason.

China has now reduced its number of new Covid-19 cases to under 16 and 2/3 of them are with persons entering the country from outside. The number of related deaths has also been reduced to the low teens. The key to this success is China set its rules and there was strict enforcement. Forced quarantine for persons with the virus and punishment for persons who violated quarantine. At this point can the Bahamas choose to selectively close its boarders or should it be a matter of ‘who’s in stay in (Bahamians, that is, foreigners will be allowed to leave) and who’s out, stay out for the next 30 days. The cruise ships have already left and Airlines are cutting back services. Hotels, restaurants , bars and some stores all over the US are closing to reduce community spread. Do we want this virus lingering because of not making hard and fast decisions? Granted we don’t know how the virus will impact the Bahamian population. There has been one confirmed case but no deaths. And if this 61 years old patient recovers it will be a great indicator.

The thing is Bahamians still continues to mix and intermingle with the tourist that do come here. Going to the night clubs etc. so there is no safety barrier. It is confirmed to be here in the country now, in at least one island and probably two. What is the way forward.

Experts say for every one person that test positive with Corona, there can be up to 1,000 persons in the community that have the virus by the time they get tested. Government is admitting they have been doing frequent testing for Corona and if this patient is at PHM, many may have been exposed even before she was seen by medical staff.

A senior Chinese diplomat accused the U.S. Army of spreading the coronavirus to China hours after his colleagues complained that efforts to assign blame distract from efforts to counter the pandemic.

“When did patient zero begin in US?” Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Lijian Zhao tweeted Thursday. “It might be US army who brought the epidemic to Wuhan.”

So is that why America is closing shop and hunkering down? China is now accusing the US army of spreading the Corona virus in China. So is the US now expecting some retaliation from China? Is this a trade war gone viral or virus?

seriously??? Being questioned by Wolf Blizer, the governor for Ohio was ask how come they only had 1,000 test kits for such a large population like Ohio. The response was, ‘We believe that there is going to be so many cases of Corona, eventually we will have to stop testing and focus on treatments.’ Wow! Currently the number of cases worldwide doubles every six days.

Get your daily dose of direct sunlight. Turn your car a/c off for a while when driving and power the windows only part ways to create a sauna-like atmosphere. Eat and drink lots of citrus and local fruits that have natural toxins. And increase proper hygiene including regular handwashing. Avoid public restrooms and use bleach or disinfectants in toliets at home especially after you have guests. The behavior of locals reflects panic and lack of information.
