When you have labor unions pushing up the price of minimum wage and other benefits, then productivity will continue tomorrow decline. And as the level of productivity declines, the cost of living increases.
When the forefathers of most who now call themselves Bahamians were still in slavery. Americans, who are putting out these advisories are the offspring of slave owners who were also smuggling drugs and bootleg whilst you Black Bahamians, chains were still rattling around your necks and itching your ankle bones. Yes they cut into your flesh. So if you think there will be change of the mindset of the people who came half ways around the world and did this to you for 400 years, then carry on smartly.
Sixty Percent or more of the vehicles on Abaco had to be replaced and a similar situation occurred on Grand Bahama due to Dorian. Government purchased new fleets of vehicles for both islands and replaced police and other vehicles on New Providence and some family islands. This accounts for most in the surge of new vehicles purchased. There is no growth in the economy and the most activity is caused Ming from hurricane recovery and rebuilding. The average Bahamian is still spending $5,000 or less to bring a ‘gremlin’ vehicle from Japan that is paid for cash and with no bank worries.

Continue Government business as usual and hope for a turn around or hit the campaign trail and try drum up support. Obviously the premature campaigning and rallying is suspect and has hit a brick wall. In fact it has brought Minni’s credibility and level of desperation even more into question. It’s like when you were in primary or middle school and you got up through the night to try on your new shoes an uniform. Several times. It had to have been more than a dry run and it was a great, big insult to those who attended expecting a town meeting. So are the horses running now?
This is a hot potato and no matter what decision the government makes there will be repercussions. The main thing is not to rush to a decision. In fact, it can be a decision where the results are phased in over a period of time. The government doesn't ever want to appear to be telling people, "there's no more jail time and there is no more criminal record for small amounts of drugs, so it's ok to abuse it."
I guess that’s what your father did. But fortunately (or unfortunately) with you it wasn’t a direct hit. So now some of your marbles are missing, you don’t play with a full deck and your elevator doesn’t go all the way to the top floor
