Every Bahamian household should seek to have enough solar panels on their homes to run their refrigerators water heaters and some lights. Even when BPL is fully up and running, electricity is to expensive to afford. And once the company sees Bahamians are willing and able to come off the grid, at least partially, they will be forced to reduce their price.

The police have killed more citizens under Marvin Dames and Anthony Ferguson than ever in the recorded history of The Bahamas. And, as always, the accounts of civilian witnesses and the police are like night and day. Do you feel any more safe that the police is regularly engaging in this type of activity? Home invasions? Do you think this brings any more closure to the families and f the victims who were allegedly killed by these people? Wouldn’t they rather that the matter went before the courts and the truth came out to the public? Right now as it stands they still don’t know who killed their loved ones, and in this lifetime they will never know. And after multiple killings like this, the police still don’t have to answer.

The US is concerned because when they impose the 25% tariffs on Chinese goods, these goods, for the for the first time in history, will be cheaper in the Bahamas and in the Caribbean than they are in the US. This means people in these regions, who buy direct from China will not have to travel to Florida or new York to purchase these goods. And the US retail sector is already on a decline and most major retailers, especially clothing, have reported worse than expected sales and profits. And this may mean a complete demise of these sectors especially in Florida and New York. So that is why Trump delayed the tariffs for 90 days and is now lobbying The Bahamas and Caribbean countries to stand with the United States

On Chinese - US should do better

Do you realize that more people are dying under the hands of the police than ever before in the history of The Bahamas and even before Christopher Columbus? Something has to be wrong with that

John says...

The police are wrong for going into a residence and shooting it up at 2:30 in the morning regardless of who they was looking for and if you disagree you are also a murderer and a child killer!

Minnis is an agent too right? Ok then

Driving around in the Wulff Road and then in Palmdale area there were several new "For Rent" signs that went up over the past few days. A clear indication that even though the Minister of Finance says the country has turned the corner to financial recovery, there are many more businesses that will not see the light at the end of this long, dark tunnel. And as was indicated, while businesses struggled thru the past decade plus two years and incurred heavy financial losses, the government, since coming to power, came at them like an angry and hungry dog in search of more taxes. And despite the stellar performance of VAT tax collection due to the willing cooperation of most businesses, government did not embrace that partnership and work closer with, and offer a helping hand, less concessions to struggling businesses. And as more local business close and more money goes overseas, government revenue, too will decrease.

On Law shouldn't 'tax you out of business'

It is concerning that the police would attack a residence with this type of firepower and not have intelligence to know who lived there. And if the children's accounts are right, police actually executed the suspects, who at the time, were unarmed, except for being under the shield of the children. Yes, every law abiding, right thinking Bahamian wants criminals off the street and brought to justice. But do they want this type of activity happening in the middle of the night. Suppose the police mistakenly had the wrong house and went in on an innocent, hard working law abiding family, shooting everyone that moved or was asleep? And is it by coincidence that the invasion at government house that left one marine dead, one unarmed and another charged with murder happened around the same (2:30 am) hour). When the shock waves of police activity is more traumatic than the actions of the criminals they were after, the public will not look favorably towards the police and despise their actions. The public don't trust the police in these type activities. Let the natural cause of justice prevail.

What is the relationship between crime in this country and the US Stare Department? Go figure!

The police are killing and we paying their salaries amen the judges can’t be trusted that Jezebel magistrate who committing perjury and fixing cases but God says ‘y’all blaming me. I sent my only begotten son to y’all and not only did yinna reject him, but y’all crucified him. So for a small moment I will turn my head, I will sit back and let y’all work it out. Even with that Jezebel judge until she falls through the window. Who killed Sir Harry Oakes?
