The public has always been suspicious that police may have been involved in some of the many killings in the country. Not those classified as "police-involved shootings, but cold-blooded murder. They also believe that many young men have been arrested and falsely charged with serious crimes, including murder. The commissioner of police has publicly stated that Marvin Pratt was never arrested and never in their custody. The minister of national security maintains the same position. This is contrary to the evidence of other witnesses. Now evidence is surfacing that the missing man may no longer be alive. This still has to be confirmed. So what does that mean from here? Will the commissioner have to resign? What about Marvin Dames? Who will investigate the police and, more, in particular, this case of this missing man?

It appears that the March 29, the exit of the United Kingdom from the European Union will not happen, at least not in March 2019. Prime Minister Mays exit plan from the EU has been defeated. The British parliament will take a vote of 'no confidence' in Prime Minister Mays on Wednesday evening. If the vote of no confidence is successful, Mays will have 14 days to form a new government. And if this fails, the United Kingdom will go into general elections, effectively stalling its exit from the EU and increasing the possibility that the decision to exit the union goes to a second referendum and is defeated. One British lawmaker referred to the EU as a club that maintains its power and control by punishing members who want to exit. Gangsters who set the rules they don't intend to abide but use their muscle to force smaller and weaker countries to follow, as is here kindly demonstrated.

> When police found a badly decomposed body off the East West Highway in December, she went to the morgue to check if it was her son. “A man who I think was a police officer told me go to the commissioner and tell him give me my son because they know where he is,” she said. “They tell me the body that they found been there was there for at least four or five months so that ain’t my son.”

So while police are investigating corruption in Junkanoo, a whole man is missing.

The courier/online shopping has virtually destroyed the local retail market and even though it was a very lucrative business for couriers. many were still not paying customs duties on packages. Some customers were questioning how couriers can have goods in their warehouses, that was not bonded or have customs facilities, but still requesting invoices. And at least one owner of express delivery was said to have gained millionaire status virtually overnight. So considering the amount this secto has done to local businesses, it must be properly policed and regulated by customs not only to prevent the leakage of government revenue, but to ensure that companies operating do not get unfair advantages that they may or may not share with their customers, causing even more erosion of the local market and more hardship for local business owners.

This is the middle of January and most of Bahamasair’s (and other airlines ) flights out of Florida are full to overbooked. And some of Bahamasair’ outbound flights arrived to their destinations up to 14 minutes ahead of schedule. And for returning flights, the excessive baggage still presents a challenge. Especially now that more tourists are using the national airline. If a flight is late some 30-45 minutes is still required to offload and load bags. One time ago airlines had canisters where bags were preloaded. And once the aircraft arrived these could be loaded within minutes and the flight could be on its way. But yes, D’aguilar is right. Bahamians must take advantage of this new money flowing into the country. It must trickle down through the economy and not leave on the same plane that the tourists does, out of the country. And Bahamians, too must realize the importance of shopping at home and not taking every dollar back to Florida . And government must realize that getting Bahamians to shop st home is keeping taxes at a minimum. Customs Duties plus VAT plus other taxes on consumer goods is killing the local retail market.

Well I’m no fan of D’Aguilar. But he seems to be running one of the most successful and most productive ministries as the increase in tourism numbers confirm. And if this requires him to miss house meetings due to travel or other commitments then so be it. With technology he can always keep up on the working of parliament and his party will ensure he is there for important events and crucial voting.

Is it bribery, attempt at extortion or simply prank calls by mischief makers.? So the Junkanoo Committee should do their own investigation before involving the police. Five Thousand Dollars seems a lot to pay to get one costume ( not group, costume) to win. So that lie can be eliminated. But was that line being used as bait to get the person to ‘free up’ for a New Years win? Extortion? Or was the female caller prancing the Junkanooer? As for most of the judges being female. Did anyone also notice the audience at Junkanoo was also mostly female. At least in Rawson Square it was like five to one. So some will say well most of the men were rushing. But the choreography lines in Junkanoo groups are also female. And they are almost half the group.

Unfortunately many who push for the country to join organizations like the WTO and even the EU do not see the bigger picture and the dangers of the entire world acting as ‘a one system ‘ and either you’re in or your out. But do you know every single central bank on the planet, including the US Federal Reserve Bank is controlled by the same small set of bankers? Cuba and Kuwait were the last two countries to have their central banks join this alliance. And if you watch what is going on with the UK and it’s eff to exit the EU, membership may not only be difficult to reverse. Membership is permanent. In the case of the UK trying to leave, it has become so expensive, so complicated and so penalizing on the UK, not only may the British prime minister lose her post, but a referendum to cancel the exit and remain a member is seriously under consideration. And it would be interesting to see what happens to Britain’s economy, should she manage to escape. The whole thing is about control. Just look what is happening with two of the biggest Religious holidays, Christmas and shopping. They hardly have anything to do with the birth of Christ or giving thanks anymore. They have become massive shopping events. Events of splurging and self gratification. Persons don’t even want to sit at the Thanksgiving dinner table anymore but to rush out and buy the largest flat screen tv or the latest I Phone. And notice how the two holidays are merging into one affair. That persons and countries that have nothing to do with the US Thanksgiving or doesn’t even know what it’s about are celebrating it. And what is the economic names they use? Black Friday and Cyber Monday. And Christmas Eve is still known as ‘the largest shopping day of the year. So that’s what it’s about, control. They want to control the economy. And since they cannot get a unified religion they use a diversion. And socially Facebook controls more people than any government on the planet. And like the EU and WTO, once you set up a Facebook account, it is never deleted. You may shut it down or stop use it, but it is still there.

Well a lot of people are now starting to realize that the media and social media is a false case of the grass being greener on the other side of the picture tube. One time ago Hollywood wanted the public to believe that everyone lived in a house on the prairie with a white picket fence and everyone was innocent and happy. Then the scandals leaked out and so did all the bad behavior the Hollywood idols were involved in. Then they did it with the rappers and certain other movies, where they portrayed young black men as all violent and toting weapons. Drinking Hennessy and sleeping with their friends women and skipping school and being unemployed going to jail. Having several baby mamas and girls doing the same with baby daddies but not realizing the responsibility that comes with it or the damage that is done, yes even to future generations, when you are not responsible. And a recent study shows that being hooked on the internet and to Facebook is more addictive than being on cocaine. So much so that the managers of Facebook have agreed to warn its customers about excessive use of the media. Yet they attempt to manipulate and control the people you come in contact and the content you are exposed to. So now there are young people more attached and loyal to several ‘friends ‘ they ‘have’ on Facebook than they are to their own family members. A false sense of virtual reality. And with the 5 G speed internet on the way where reallity on the internet will become more virtual and more addictive. A high school told his class more than two decades ago, even before the laptop, the smart phone or the internet was developed, ‘ I see humans as becoming physically weaker in the future but with expanded brain power. Because humans will spend more time living in their heads.’ Humans have become physically weaker, but do they now have expanded brain power since becoming wired, or more like controlled zombies?
