Like the hospital and other essential facilities, government may never have sufficient funds to build a new prison from scratch. But operating in its present state the prison is actually a college for criminals, where persons with minor offenses get to interact and 'lear from' hardened criminals. The government needs to set out a five, ten and twenty year for the prison, based on the current criminal trends and expected inmate populations over those periods. It can then prioritize a build-out plan where construction is ongoing over a period of years and the most urgent facilities are constructed or remodeled first. One should not forget that everyone on the prison compound is not an inmate and there should be some level of comfort and security for those who work there or even visit.

And not all the boats reported stolen in Abaco are actually stolen. There is/was a scam going on where a person would bring expensive boats to the Northern Bahamas. They would sell these boats off for a fraction of the value, then go back to the US and report the boat stolen. And file an insurance claim. And so lately insurance companies have been hiring private investigators to track down missing boats, and of course, the incidence of missing or stolen boats have decreased.

If you go to the Arawak Port sometimes you will see people collecting shipments of fish and seafood that was imported. Where are some of these shipments coming from? Dominican Republic! So they come in and steal our marine resources, are brazen enough to shoot at the Defense Force boats who try to stop them and turns around and sells the fish back to us what they stole. Does the Bahamas or Bahamians ever win? Ever?

Came across some information whilst doing research several years ago where Sir Lynden Pindling was also put on the hit list of Mob Bosses in reference to failing on a promise to deliver casino licenses. And the big concern was how to escape the island once the job was done. Came as a complete shock/surprise as never heard anyone discuss it locally. Would be surprised of what really goes down in this little town. After all the white woman who killed her husband in Lyford Cay is still walking free as a bird on Sunday morning on Sandy Cay.

The biggest and cleanest coverup of a murder. Everyone who got too involved got murdered. Then books on the matter were banned to surprise speculation. And the question still is unanswered, at least to some. So who killed Sir Harry Oakes?

" **from French: laissez faire, lit. 'let do') is an economic system in which transactions between private parties are free from government intervention such as regulation, privileges, tariffs and subsidies. The phrase laissez-faire is part of a larger French phrase and basically translates to "let (it/them) do", but in this context usually means to "let go*".*[1]

This is what is lacking in the country. And one must really question who is advising this government. Banks are still questioning the source of funds for business clients who have been customers of the bank for decades. And Banks are charging a 1% processing fee to take cash deposits over $10,000.00 even though they pay no interest on these account balances. So where is the confidence in the economy coming from.

So the Giant complex up on Gladstone Hill sponsored be Rev and Starbucks and this one at The Pointe, financed by the Chinese. Can two of these giants survive in a still-ailing economy? They both have their advantages, but the major underlying factor that will determine success or failure, is both of these entertainment centers are (BPL) energy driven. And with September's shocking electricity bill and a similar one expected for October, this will be test months for their sustainability. And the winter tourist months should drive The Pointe's traffic and revenue. And how many Bahamians can shell out $25.00 (IMax) more than once a month for a movie? And now Mario's bowling alley is competing with itself. The advantage with Pointe is it has a captive audience when its hotel rooms are full and impulsive potential from persons passing up and down Bay Street. And the secretly proposed marina that will shut off the waterway for everyone else in that area. Hopefully, it will be a success or even both of them.

Seeing what is happening in Freeport and if even parts of the rumors about Bah Mars operations are true, the people of South Eleuthera would be wise to accept the Disney proposal and use it as a lifeline.
