Is this the same government that was firing people left, right and center for the past 13 months? So let’s not lead by example then.

Leaving out to the events that led up to the fight against Eckhard Dagge that many was believed was a mismatch. Obed claimed he got 'thumbed' in the eye during this fight. And it was later discovered he had a detached retina. Obed was then declared legally blind in that eye and unfit to box (fight). The condition was considered to be permanent. And yes he does have a brother that is blind. Even when he tried to fight locally questions about his medical condition (eyesight) would surface weeks or days before the scheduled fights and he would not get clearance to fight. He was still under the age of 30 and out of frustration quit the sport completely. Spent 40 years of his life paying for a fling that some did not approve of.

The definite for low cost affordable housing in the developing islands. Haitians will have to learn to assimilate. Keep cleaner sorroundings, use the laundromat instead of hanging clothes on the line and cut down their family sizes to make accommodations more affordable.

Full investigation needed and even the tour operator should have his own investigation done. From the size of the plumes obviously a large amount of fuel was involved and since the tour was just getting underway had to have been leaking for a while or the gas tank(s) blew. Sad that visitors had to come to the Bahamas and have such a tragic experience. These type tours have become very popular recently and so maybe there is a need for more regulations to be put in place. May the soul that lost her life Rest In Peace and lets everyone else recovers to full health.

The police need to question concerned citizen. He seems to know a lot about this boat that is involved in this sad and tragic incident.

John says...

Yes there needs to be a full investigation. Lot of competition got into this boat charter business lately and some people wasn’t to happy with that. Went on one recently and couldn’t believe the number of operatives in the area.

John says...

@concernedcitizen: I know of the facts first hand so maybe you would want to google them before you attack me like the Klan in Mississippi. Else go suck lemons.

Yamaha outboard engines only have a few ounces of fuel in them when they are operating so even if the engine throws a rod or catches fire, there shouldn’t be an explosion big enough to set the entire boat on fire. And if the fuel tanks are properly sealed and the fuel lines intact there shouldn’t be no fuel or vapors on the boat to cause such a large explosion even if someone discarded a lighted cigarette. And if a boat is moving there is sufficient water flowing through the bilge to cause any leaking fuel to be pumped out before it builds up. Something else went wrong.

John says...

The facts dude.

Guess they were doing their job and not making twice target practice (18 holes in one) this time.
