So what about the cruise port that was signed off on be Perry Christie just before the Elections? That project should also be revisited and reviewed. Any cruise line that wants to take its passengers away from Freeport proper and/or discourage them from spending locally should be given least priority to visiting The Bahamas. They bring no benefit.

Or trying to open a webshop maybe...

The government has ‘padners’ who can take three helicopters in the heart of Bahamian residents and allegedly uncover millions in drugs and cash and not report the findings to the Bahamian people or say what was done with the loot. But these same ‘pardners’ cannot (or will not) advise them of a generation, felony criminal (a pack of them including pa and son) who trying to swing their way into the Bahamas to swing other investors. Maybe they needed to have a drug conviction.

Even the banks are warning Bahamians to inform them of when they travel to avoid their credit cards being used for fraud. And are also being advised not to use credit cards in some countries

How difficult is it for Hubert Minnis to call up Hubert Ingraham and/or Perry Christie and discuss this project? Does the Bahamas need another black eye? do the people in Grand Bahama need to have their hopes dashed again? All the information is out there and easily accessible.

it's like the dumb jack asses who blaming the webshops for everything that going wrong in the country. They seem to forget that numbers were in operation decades before they became legalized. the web shops are now creating more jobs and putting more money in the public treasury than ever before. The banks problem s include high liquidity, low performing loan portfolios and reluctance to make additional loans due to a weak economy. its 'redneck' theory that the webshops are causing banks to close. Like saying the hen stopping he cow from giving milk.

Drive up to the gas station and notice the price of gas : Over 4.60 here in New Providence, 4.71 Grand Bahama and almost 4.90 on the other Family Islands...any justifiable reason for the drastic increases? So if we are back to 5.00 a gallon gas when oil is 50 percent of what it was, it simply means that if oil hits 130 dollars the price of gas will be 10 dollars a gallon.

At least we can now conclude that the Education/learning/skills problem is not exclusive to The Bahamas. See how easy it is to divide and conquer. The same ones who ere bashing Bahamians also hate to admit that the US has a similar proficiency problem and that Canada ares better of the three countries.

How does retiring constitute firing? And while Rider may have bashed our education system here, the results may not be much different in the US, for example only 39 percent of high school students graduate proficient in Math and English. But when broken down by ethnicity 47 percent of Asian students graduate proficient , compared to 37 percent whites and 7 percent black students. Of students graduating from a school in Baltimore, zero were proficient in Math and only 5 percent in English. But the school's population were made up of 1/3 students who came from families with zero wealth. Overall only 38 percent of students graduating in the US are at college level in Math and English. **But in Canada** its much different: 'High Schools in Canada: A World-Class Choice. Canadian high school students are achieving some of the highest marks in the world in reading, math and science, according to a recent study comparing students in 42 countries. ... Canada is an excellent option for those studying English or French as a second language. So Rider may have had a point.
