The US stock market for s enjoying one of its longest booms since the 1960’s and most major companies in the US are giving their staff bonuses and/or pay increases. Companies are expanding their production capacity in the US or bringing their operations from the over seas. Bacardi, that was once in the Bahamas has bought Patron for $5.1 Billion And Amazon plans to use its purchase of the Target chain to make it the biggest food retailer in the US. This country should be preparing for the US economic overspill first, not concerning itself too much with the WTO which will be costly and not BAhamians are ready for.

All things are related and for there to be harmony, there must also be balance. Equilibrium. For example in the US when there was what many thought to be too much unjustified killings of blacks and other minorities by police the public outcry started an all out assault on police. Persons started walking up to police, even female officers and shooting them for no reason. And it wasn’t the blacks and minority who were doing this but persons who already had a despise for police and law enforcement using the conflict the police had with the other groups to cover up or justify their actions. And as the police killings on blacks and minorities ceased, so did the attacks on law enforcement officers. Justice must be seen to be done.

When police involved shootings start to exceed the murder count, it is a clear indication that something is wrong. When police killings exceed the amount of the decrease in the murder count, there is still a net increase in homicides. People are still being killed. When the police killings become to frequent and the public starts to doubt the policemen accounts then they lose confidence in the police. There is a lack of trust. Then the country is back to square one. There must be accountability in all quarters. But still the police must have license to do their job effectively.

SAD to hear that very few people are showing interest in this story and, according to friends, little or no resources are being utilized to help find this young Bahamian. This is not related to the other two men who are deceased after ending up in the water when the small boat they were on apparently capsized. Hopefully the police is investigating that matter to determine exactly what happened since they were in a secure area. Did another vessel pass at high speed and cause them to capsize.

Two more shot and killed by the police in the Carmichael/Cowpen Road area today. Has police shootings now exceeded the number of homicides over the past three months..just asking. .. Bad boys should realize by now that the police will shoot back and usually will not miss.

While many may take this opportunity to brow beat the hackers in the industry this fatal crash needs more investigation. The conversation between the pilot and the air traffic controller when he was denied permission to land in Nassau. Why did he go all the way back to Andros instead of waiting in position to land? Was he low on fuel? And the controllers who saw him flying in circles in a blinding rain/ wind storm. Could they have realized he was disorientated and could they have intervened and guided him back to Andros or Nassau safely or does that only happen in the movies? The hacking issue needs to be dealt with while an aircraft is still on the ground or after it has landed safely, not when it becomes lost in flight and there is a tragic accident. especially one with multiple fatalities. And many of the 10 mishaps last year were not hackers. But try going to any major hotel or any port in your private vehicle to get a hacker job. You will have to run and leave your car running too.

I don't think that is the latest position with the crypto in S. Korea. But i will research, because the source i read said that that country stopped trading period. Because North Korea was hacking accounts. (Bloomberg, January 17, 2018).

South Korea had to discontinue the trading in crypto because its accounts keep getting hacked by the North. Here one bank has had lots of its customers accounts hacked by former employees and other customers. Some were completely cleaned out. Others were skimmed over a period of time before the owners found out. The fear of crypto just disappearing into thin air.

This whole immigration fiasco is confusing. On the one hand the government is making it easier for some people to come here and start to work even before they get a work permit. On the other hand some who are born here are being deported or not being regularised. In the US a doctor who spent 40 years in the US was deported to Poland. Leaving wife children and grandchildren behind The birth place of his parents but somewhere unfamiliar to him. He held permanent residency in the US . But he committed a crime and his residency was revoked. And as Donald Trump admits the US will need additional immigrant workers in the near future, Haiti has been added to the list that no immigrants will be accepted from.

Many persons are confusing this story with the story of the seaman missing on a trip from Ft. LLauderdale to Bimini to Andros and then to New Providence. The seaman got lost on his journey somewhere between Bimini and Andros and haven't been heard from since.
