There may be FOUR systems out there inext Monday and Tuesday. Irma is expected to move up the pan handle of Florida, Jose will remain to the South and South East of Bermuda as if pushing Irma into the US mainland. Then a system forms off Halifax that prevents Irma moving North while another is trying to form off the coast off Africa. By Wednesday-Thursday Jose will still remain.
The eye of Irma is passing over Barbados. It will also pass over Cuba It may spend two days with the eye over Cuba and hopefully it will continue to stay South of the Bahamas.
Irma is now near cat 5 and still keeping South.. some models have it passing directly over Cuba and others even on the Southern side. But the storm is getting so huge. Surge will be a problem.
An empty cookie jar is an empty cookie jar. And with an economy that never recovered since 2008 John Rolle is essentially saying he would like to see more Bahamian families kicked out on the streets. Exactly just how does Rolle propose banks to reduce these loans without an improved economy. Many businesses have been surviving of cash injections by the owners and/or shareholders forgoing dividends and share price growth. Most banks have stopped paying interest on savings and other deposits and banks with toxic loans realized a long time ago that randomly seizing assets would be more costly for them as, even though this may be a buyers market, there are few buyers who are active. And yes there may have to be a cutoff point for the time banks can hold on to non performing loans but have evry other options been exhausted? And if the economy does not improve the toxic or non performing loan portfolio will only increase. Business owners may exhaust all of their savings or just give up on the business as they see no way out. This would mean more homeowners will become unemployed and default on their loans.
Victim is a well known security officer. There is a new generation of desperate people surfacing who are willing to kill or go to other unbeatable extremes (like breaking in establishments and stealing safes) for just a few dollars. A working person is even less safe now.

The eye of Irma is over Barbuda and not Barbados as CNN is reporting. There has been no contact with Barbuda for 4 hours.
