Ok so now that the picnics have received their long awaited (many are political) promotions and they have been promised their overtime pay (for work that was not successful in stemming the tide of crime or curbing murders) can y'all get to work and demonstrate to the Bahamians that your promotions and your overtime pay does have some value? Can you set a target to reduce murders by 50% by years end? And the other prolific (that's y'alls word) crimes are car thefts, car breaks-ins, and home and shop break-ins. Can you set a reasonable target and reduce these numbers as well. And to all the decent, dedicated, hardworking, sober and loyal policemen: you know you deserve your promotion and to toes eho deserve but didn't get don't lay it discourage. Put nothing in front of being a great officer.

*nobel...novel does it make a difference in this instance since it does sound more fictional than brilliant!

Bahamians in general and Bahamians in businesses that compete with the likes of Bah Mar need to start taking the government to court for inducing and promoting unfair competition. Why should all, ALL Bahamians have to be forced to pay a smorgasbord of taxes, do their own advertising and promotions and still have to compete with Bah Martha has gotten treasure chests of government concessions, will be paying little or no taxes and still gets governments commitment to spend $4 million a year to promote the property. Can you tell me when Bah Mar will ever put a red cent in our government's coffers? What is the real benefit of having except they provide jobs? And even then they are allowed to bring in foreign workers to compete with Bahamians? Has government considered the flip side of the coin? What if Chi Tia Fook come in here and take over Bah Mar? But the golden egg is not as gold as they expected? So they run the property into the ground, ditch local workers, then high tail out of the country, leaving millions and millions of unpaid bills in their wake? Who will be responsible for the cleanup? What role will China ExIm bank play? Bet your vote the bank is trying to get all its expenses paid up front and has its loan payment plan to recover as much of the loan at the front end, while the property is still new and not deprecated. Our government, on the other hand is giving away everything it possibly could with no mechanism in place to recover should the operators of Bah Mar fail to perform. And Bahamians wonder why there is an ever increasing national debt and why the tax burden on regular Bahamians is so heavy. Ignorant government agreements that give away everything, including the kitchen sink. And the retards stand on stage under the spotlight and pat themselves on their back (sides). Like they have done something novel!

Cab someone please remind Adrian Francis that ZNS is a public radio station being paid for by all the tax payers money (except that which was stolen or misappropriated). This man is on this station singing for his supper like Oliver Twist, And strip-dancing sloppily for his PLP masters. Arrogant to say it mildly. And squealing louder than a female pig being hog-tied because Hubert Ingraham made an appearance at the FNM rally. How many retired politicians and their cronies attend PLP rallies. And who is Gorman Bannister? A zombie that is irrevelant, politically constipated. Seems like he cannot wait for next week Wednesday to come and go so he can crawl back in his casket and finish his metamorphosis.

Can we ever get a gov'ment to tell us (1) where the VAt money really gone, (2)Why 600 mudrers and who killing who, (3) What really going on with bah mar and who really owns it now, (4) why is salt being taken out of the Bahamas by the tonnes for a price less than you can buy it for by the pound?, (5) same for aragonite, (6) same for sand, (7) Did someone really inherit $1 billion in the Bahamas and it was deposited in the central bank but never passed on to the inheritor? (8) Are there really gold and jewels in the caves in San Salvador and was some or all carted off thru the night? (9) it has been confirmed that gas(oil)l exists in the Bahamas in commercial quantities as it does in Cuba and Haiti, where the US now has troops guarding the fields. What plans are there for commercial oil in the Bahamas and how will the ordinary Bahamian benefit? (10) Why is solar energy being discouraged in the Bahamas? (11) Will the dump be fixed or will we continue to smkoe garbage for cigarettes

Christie and his squad are firing themselves. Every time you blink there is another scandal or another stash of tax money gone missing. Roll them out!

bmw. if I argue with a fool, I would have to lower my standard (very much) to come down to your level. In other words I was born in Ireland, so I am as Irish as you are Bahamian, if you get my drift!

Ever wonder why after so much corruption and dishonesty has been exposed in the PLP and while crime, murders especially, continuese unabated, the PLP still seems to get a good level of support ? Well there are certain factions of PLP supporters who believe it is ok for their government to be corrupt and dishonest as long as "they take care of their supporters and 'see them straight '. Many don't see the bigger picture and they sincerely believe the PLP government is only supposed to take care of and look out for PLP's. And they rationalize this thinking with, "ain't y'all is do the same thing when y'all get in?" These people also believe that all governments are corrupt and that's how they are able to take care of their people. As for the high level of murders, some don't believe that's a government problem. They buy the story fed to them by their (present) government that it is just a small number of stupid young men and boys killing up each other. " That ain't gat nothing to do with government. If that's what they want to do let them kill one another until ain't none left." So now you can see why the prime minister and other can represent areas for decades that are deprived, lacking basic essentials and infrastructure. Many are comfortable in that mode of living.

Well Jah Rule and Billy McFarland have been hit by multi million dollar lawsuits. #lawsuits one of Americans favorite pastimes. And a very expensive one at that.

These people were definitely fish out of water. They have the annual music fest in Exuma that caters to thousands and the annual regatta as well. You have to know how to make it fit. But these city boys obviously lacked experience in planning this type of event in a sleepy island setting. Then for a $20 million price tag they should have hired more locals and professional event planners and should not have tried to crowd the event with regatta. A good investment may be in one of the smaller cruise ships that are now being decommissioned. One that can travel from island to island during these events like regattas and serve as a hotel and dining facility.
