Well they have to get rid of the garbage somehow. No waste to energy no recycling so they 'accidentally ' set it on fire. Most economical way to dispose of it. Except for the health concerns for everyone on this island.

So if The Tribune exposing Dion D. Smith as the owner of a stolen vehicle why is it withholding the name of the bank that allegedly sold it to him? And how was the car returned to the US? Would someone go through the trouble of taking a car out of the country, across the ocean, then leaving it abandoned on some highway? The US had a policy where preowned vehicles had to remain at the port for at least 3 weeks before they could be shipped out of the country. Then what with all the thousands of used vehicles coming from Japan every year? How many of them are stolen? Many persons, too have been ripped off with cars coming from Japan. Some with serious mechanical problems that the car had to be dumped because it was too costly to fix

Is Bamsi producing GMO foods? GMO is basically when scientists take the DNA of one crop and force it into another. Since the gmo,s are fed to farm animals (cows, sheep chickens) and also to fish the DNA of these creatures are also altered. So when you eat them it also alters your genetics. (Read the articles on Monsanto the largest gmo company It the world). But watch this: They have been doing similar experiments with young black men where they are using drugs (chemicals) to alter their DNA and hence change their personalities. And that is part of the problem we are facing where young, black men have become predators are are now killing each other. These experiments have been going on for the past 20 years. The chemicals are being put in foods water and other substances. And just like a bull goes into a rage when red is flashed in front of it., these young men respond to certain stimuli. Once they are 'activated '. They go on a mission to kill. Watch what is happening in the US where a black man is on the run after killing a 74 y:o grandfather. Then another man was arrested after shooting and killing three people. Where is this headed?

So let me see if I get this right. BPL is not going to be giving free electricity but the government is going to be taking other tax money to pay some persons light bill? Well kiss a rabbit and feed him corn. What sense does that make? Would it not be better to bring down the cost of electricity for every one and then the cost of living for everyone will also come down. If you compare your electricity bills for 2015 and 2016 the 2016 are 20-25% higher. And 2017 first quarter bills are still higher than 2016 except in the instance where a person may have put in energy saving provisions like led bulbs or solar panels. The people must demand to see BPL's business plan and the projected cost of electricity for the next five years. Power companies that are using the same inputs that are available to BPL have some of the lowest electricity rates in the world and they give away free energy on off peak hours. When is BPL proposing to stop using bunker C sludge that is now banned in many parts of the world?

***Guys....... murder is not the government's fault nor is it the fault of the local religious leaders. The government can only act in retrospect to homicides and local preachers can only talk, and talk, and talk yet nobody listens.***

@ Cobalt..have you lost it? Murder may not be the government's fault but it is the government's responsibility to uphold the laws that prevent murders, and punish murderers, and keep its citizens safe from career and murderous criminals. it is also the government's responsibility to remove and/or correct any element in society that may contribute to crime, murder in this case. This will include gangs, drug sales that lead to turf wars and the like. Children were being born out-of-wedlock since time immemorial in this country and this rampant and wanton murder is something strange to this Bahamas. We have imported the American rap culture, the drug culture, the gang culture and the black on black, killing. Brother vs brother killings. When you have 12-13 radio stations blasting this music 24/7 television stations playing movies that promote killing..yes no time to dust off the bible and to pray.

You only need to look around and see who is doing most of the vandalism. PLP covering other billboards and posters. tearing down some and damaging others. Sweep in front of your own door first.

John says...

The Government seems to be skillfully dodging the issue of crime, especially murder. The strategy seems to bamboozle the electorate with food, drinks t/shirts and outrageous promises (free electricity) and stay away from the issue of crime. But the country and heartbroken, distraught mothers continue to bury their young sons. How long, O Lord, how long?

Smt... there's now a stabbing murder reportedly in Abaco.

John says...

Statistics indicate that there may be as many as SEVEN more homicides before election 2017. Also if the PLP wins the election and the police administration remains the same, the country will continue to record murders in excess of 100. And unless something is done to address the causes of murders, improve the delivery of justice and increase the severity of punishment, there is a great possibility that the country could exceed the 650 plus murders recorded under the PLP. The victims of murder will continue to be mostly young, black males from the inner cities and, as is like now, many of their murders will go unsolved and their killers unpunished.

John says...

Yea many streets only had FNM and DNA posters on the weekend. But when the PLP came to put up theirs, they removed others, covered some and damaged yet others. But it's still the people's time.
