A lot of people are trying to escape the inner-city for fear of crime and the South Western (Carmichael) area because of the traffic. So co-workers or friends have gotten together and rented apartments/townhouses in the Cable Beach area. Accommodations they could not afford on their own. This is a good thing because rent prices in Cable Beach have been depressed for a number of years. And since there were so many vacancies, tenants could bargain with landlords and drive the price even lower. Now the landlords can get more rent for their properties and, hopefully they can recover before the bottom falls out of the market again. And whilst Trump is taking credit for is, the US, after having its longest stretch of jobs creation in recent history (under OBama) it now is experiencing one of the greatest housing markets, where existing homes are being purchased more rapidly than ever before.
Rollins helped Loretta Butler-Turner run into a brick wall and didn't even look back when she was even thrown under the bus several times. But we understand he is still suffering from stiff neck from a previous incident. But Rollins is destroying his credibility and his political worth by jumping from here to there, place to place and party to party.
The unusual import activity as a result of Hurricane Mathew has caused a vast slow down in the local economy. Many businesses are reporting that their holiday sales were lower than usual and some even say they were disappointing. And while the increased activity continued at the port through January, local sales for many businesses have been slower than usual for the first two months of 2017. But a number of buildings suppliers are recording sales as better than usual as hurricane repairs continue. Royal Bank has not only suspended its dividends for the third year running, but they are now paying ZERO interest on fixed deposits. Meaning if things get any worse with RBC they may start charging negative interest on deposits. Meaning customers may have to pay the bank interest to keep their funds on deposits. RBC biggest problem is they have excess deposits but few customers can meet their lending criteria.
Curiouser and curiouser (Like Alice in Wonderland). On the one hand you have the prime minister claiming that crime in the country is out of control and the Bahamas is like the wild, Wild West especially with persons killing up one another. Then the commissioner of police denies the country is in a (crime) crisis. In fact he denies that many of the murders are gang related. Then the person the minister of national security finger points as being responsible for crime including murders says "No it ain't me." He claims he worked with the minister and his government and helped them get elected and not only did they give him the shaft after getting elected, but they continue to use him as s scapegoat, blaming him for crimes they cannot solve. All fingers pointing in all different directions as crime continues to get worse.
All of the spying devices are already in place. They just need to make it (spying) legal so if you tamper with the device you go to jail or if you 'touch up' one of their workers you also get lock up. Done deal. The agenda of the New World Order getting put in place. Go research it.
Christie says that Friday will be the last day to register. Does this mean the House of Assembly will be dissolved over the weekend and the date for election announced?
