If his appendix burst as was indicated, the staff at PMH may have saved his life, despite the ugly scars and stitching. The hospital indicated that the large incision was necessary to clean out the abdominal cavity after the intestine ruptured. But the patient claims his appendix was still intact and healthy when he was operated on by other doctors on his return home, "adding that he was told the organ was healthy but still removed by American doctors.". Seems like this man is suing the wrong people. But yes the wait time at the A&E is too long over 13 hours on average. The place is just too small and doctors and support staff are overwhelmed, especially because of the number of stabbing and shoot victims being treated there. Recently a sewerage pipe burst in the A&E with over 25 patients being treated or recovering. Despite the janitorial and plumbing staff responding immediately the situar became unbear for many, especially after the stench of toilet water was picked up by the a/c system. Government or hospital staff may need to consider separating the accident and trauma section from the general emergency. This will not only cut down on the wait time for general patients, but also seoerate them from the trauma of accident victims and patients suffer from shootings or stabbings and the possibility that persons may enter the hospital seeking to do more harm to patients being treated.

Maybe they should move the dump to Paradise Island and let it burn until those racist foreigners remove the fences that are denying Bahamians access to their own beaches.

Don't confuse me with your parents when you get to calling people idiots. If you can't get your point across without the name calling then you make it patently whom is the idiot and stupid one. Not to speak about being angry. Now go jump off your bridge to Andros or an even lower place.

There is a difference between the USA accepting immigrants from a third country on a diplomatic level and Cubans, wanted or not, being smuggled into that country under the for Cubans only, "wet foot, dry foot law." So Fred need not have lied about this. The concern should be how permeable our borders are. The concern should be how did these illegal immigrants get to the US and who was involved in people smuggling. The relief should be that these persons are outside the jurisdiction of the Bahamas. Their lawsuit is frivolous and, again, only an attempt by Miami based Cubans to bring negative publicity to the Bahamas. Looking forward what will be the results of President Obama's visit to that country soon. Eventually and maybe as early as summer travel and trade and banking restrictions will be eased on that island country. How will that impact the Bahamas, not only economically, but socially as well. Will the US revoke its "wet foot, dry foot" law and require all Cubans to enter that country legally? Then what about the Cubans that do not qualify? Will they continue and increase the use of the Bahamian islands as transit points?

It is immaterial whether or not we know what combustible gases garbage produce when it rots. The point of the matter is that RenewBahamas has presented itself as a professional company, experienced in the management and recycling of solid waste. They are he ones who should know that garbage cannot be piled high or buried too deep else combustible gases will build up and eventually catch fire. They are the ones who should know that layers of fill should be sandwiched between layers of garbage to prevent the buildup of gases. They should also be mindful that under certain climatic conditions, like hot summer days, piles of garbage should be hosed with water frequently, again to prevent fires. Isn't that part of the reason they were contracted in the first place? To stop the dump fires from poisoning Bahamians to early graves.

There needs to be fines imposed on ReNew Bahamas. A $100,000 fine every time the dump gets set on fire and a $10,000 fine for each day the dump remains burning. ReNew Bahamas is a business making money and every time the dump, under their management and control is on fire, it causes distress, inconvenience, economic hardship and health problems for thousands of Bahamians.

The bottom is there can be no true Bahamas as long as the selected few continue to deny the masses (of Bahamians) their rights and privilidges of being bahamian. As long as they pander to greedy, racist and carpet bagging foreigners and give them more rights and opportunities than bahamian's. When you hear about the commissioner and other high ranking police officers involved in cover ups and are consciously prosecuting individuals under false or trumped up charges. Young Bahamians abroad are not only gaining education and experience and exposure, but they are accumulating wealth. And when they return they will repossess the Beaches and other privileges taken away from Bahamians. The racists and Bahamian bashing foreigners will be invited to leave the country. Power will be taken away from those who were involved in selling out the country for peanuts and they will be made to account for the massive bloodshed, murder and carnage that has taken place in this country for more than a decade. This country has sufficient resources that no Bahamian should have to live in poverty and squalor or have their businesses taxed out of existence. The same Bahamian you , banker, are calling illiterate and innumerate coming fer he tings. And if you gat any, dog eat your lunch.. Legitimate investors and work permit holders need not worry. We will invite even more of them...nuff said!

Freddy did not have to lie about the US not wanting the two Cubans. It could be a matter of once they made their way to the US, the 'wet foot, dry foot", law kicked in and so America accepted the arsonists.
