I pardon your ignorance, but if you have been reading posts over the past several years I have been offering my suggestions about how to combat crime. Several years ago I warned that if nothing is done swiftly to put a harness on crime it will overcome us and our judicial system will become useless. Yes I am a product of the Bahamas and proudly so. While our crime problem has been bred and festered in the Bahamas, we know that the roots of it were imported and continues to be fueled, by television, by music, by kids games loaded with violence and mayhem and by social media. Your comment is pointless, since you don't know me and neither do you know my real involvement in the fight against crime. Lead by example or get the behind me....

It's only a matter of time before the police catch these criminal retards. Then what the courts do is another thing

The government is boasting about how the VAT revenue has overshot its target, while the Bahamian businessmen struggle to make ends meet. 'Poor Junior' is in the food business and if his sales were down imagine other non-necessity businesses. But even in the US holiday sales were off significantly, one reason is that the cold weather did not come in earnest before the holidays so many people did not buy winter gear. Another reason is even though unemployment is down to 5%, consumer confidence is also down. Newly employed persons are trying to catch up with their bills and long term employees are holding on to their money in anticipation to tough times ahead. For the first time in history trade between the West and Europe is at a standstill. And oil and gas prices continue to tumble.

Do you really think this government delayed the completion and opening of Bah Mar to coincide with elections? Not as far fetched as. You think. After all the mini hospital they met completed in 2012 still sits unop and unused. The park on Blus Hill Road, same thing. An expensive waste of taxpayers money.

China has informed a number of its banks to halt trading in US dollars. Will the be willing to allow a US company to take over Bah Mar

The government is trying to wring water out of a very dry towel. Taxes and associated costs of doing business has more than doubled on small and medium businesses since the current government came to power. The profit has dwindled. In many instances there is no profit. Many businesses are concerned that their sales are off by as much as 40% since October. Rather than work with these businesses and try keep them afloat, this government seems to be hell bent on putting more nails in their coffins. Even the most staunch PLP supporters are crying about how tough things are. When there are no small and medium businesses the economy becomes stagnant because these are the ones who turn over their money the most frequently. Even now some businesses have a monopoly because all their competitors have closed down. Yet they are struggling to survive. That's how bad things are. Government needs to be more accountable for the revenue it is collecting and stop trying to beat a dead horse to death.

So now they add another set of virile, young stallions to the mix. What do you think the results will be?
