Try calling for assistance when someone with a mental disorder. The police don't want to respond (some of the dispatchers need training on this type of emergency. That institution is overburdened due to extensive drug abuse by young men. There are hundreds of them who can snap in a minute when they stop taking their medication. Most of the murders in this country are committed by persons known to the victims. Persons who live in close quarters with each other. Regardless of their mental state. That is why it is so difficult to prevent this type of murder. You must change the mindset of the people. That life is valuable. That murder is wrong. The need and ability to exercise tolerance and forgiveness. And the penalty for murder has to be swift and severe. Today many view toting a gun as a fashion statement and killing as a means to earning stripes.
So now they are talking about stripping Usine Bolt and other world class athletes off their medals because of one report that,for the most part,is biased if not bogus
I Hope I Am wrong but I'm getting this strong feeling that Bah Mar will not open before 2017. Half of January is gone it is still at a standstill Nothing happening. And the legal wranglings haven't heated up yet. Of course there will be a lot of them. Even after the property gets finished and opened the legal battles will continue. But at least there will be employment and some lawyers will make lots of money.

In Jamaica murders are up by 21%. But in the US unemployment is down to 5% and predictions are that there will be a shortage of skilled and qualified workers by mid year. Here unemployment still hovers around 18%. Gas prices are down and under $2.00 in many states and still falling. Here gas prices has dropped less than a dollar and electricity prices are still the highest in the region. A gallon of milk costs $3.99 in the US and here it costs over $8.00. And if that is too much and you need something to calm your nerves : A 40 oz od Hennessy is advertised in the US for $19.99. Here it costs $43.00 with VAt
The most effective way to kill a snake is to cut its head off. So far most of the efforts were focused on attacking the symptoms of a society gone wrong. More efforts need to be focused on disciplining and rearing of young men before they need to be in police custody. Restoring the family structure, more spiritual guidance and the desire to resist anti social behavior and crime. This along with a strong police force and properly functioning judicial system will break the back of crime.
america is a GREAT country! But that portion of the US y'all fear so much no longer has the power they think they have. Anything you need from the US can be bought on line for 1/3 the price it costs in the US and secondly most of them who putting out the advisory and who they sending it to will never visit the Bahamad (at least in a way it benefits the country)any way.
