The fact is they never intended the Bahamas to be a free or independent nation. Ever since independence in 1973 the national debt has been increasing exponentially. The intention of the powers that be was to saddle Bahamians with debt and make their lives miserable as it becomes near impossible to pay this debt. And our leaders fell for this scam hook, line and sinker. Now the government is being advised to sell off our national assets. This will put the country in an even more precarious situation. The same thing was done to Haiti when it bought its freedom over 200 years ago. The entire world refused to trade with Haiti, and even today it is discriminated against, even by us Bahamians. Be careful the same shoe doesn't fit our foot. The numbers boys better stay clean as a new whistle jed!
If Peter Nygard can get niggas ( sorry I meant "Black Bahamians") to dress up like ku kluck klansmen and prance down the main street of New Providence during the most historically Black parade held in the Bahamas, then why should Ryan Pinder (or Brent Symnonette) not be capable of running the PLP or the FNM respectively? Niggas (err I mean Black Bahamians) are still for sale, wholesale! Money Talks!
If you see MAY come and carnival come and the additional courts are not up and running then you know this government is not serious on crime. It it is not just a matter of bringing criminals to justice but saving this country from the onslaught of criminal activity. Saving young men from being the victims of murder or the one who becomes the killer. Drugs and gangs play a major role in the number of murders in this country and something has to be done to curb these activities. Plans must be put in place to mordernise the prison, not for the sake of persons housed there but for those who work there. Criminals are becoming more violent and are much younger today and so rehabilitation safety and long term stays must be factors considered. A second prison on another island may also be an option to consider.
so who is lying about the resignation, the prime minister or the other cartoon character? Did he really resign or did he just wish he did? question of the~day: What company do you know about operates with just
> *thirteen* customers? (mom ad pop stores included)
Hint: what is Bahamas Resolve?
Just in case Paul McSweeny does resign there is a movie opening he might be interested in
Also in Miami a small popcorn is $4.75 a small drink is $3.75 hot dogs are $6.00 each. So two people going to see a movie can easily spend $50 bucks. Do they have "The Interview' on bootleg yet?
oil prices have fallen below $50 a barrel but yet BEC has not reduced electricty bills by one red cent! This is a bigger scandal than an alleged $300,000 bribe that happened 15 years ago because Bahamians are being overcharged on electricty by at least 60 percent. This results in monthly windfall profits to BEC of millions of dollars each month while the average consumer struggles to keep the light on..cry shame!
VAT registered businesses that bring goods through LPIA may find that not only will they NOT be able to claim back VAT paid at this port of entry but they may also be overcharged on customs duties. First of all many customs officers seem to be unfamiliar with the reduction in customs duty rates, so they are charging travellers the old rates in addition to VAT. A printed list of the tariff reductions seem to be unavsilable and should be at each station. Secondly customs is keeping the customers invoices so unless they have second copies, they have nothing for their records. Finally the customs cash reciept does not show the importers tax identification number, as is required by law so the importer will not be able to claim the VAT back. Since the VAT is calculated on the value of the goods PLUS the duties paid the importer will have to increase prices to recover the excess duty paid plus the VAT that cannot be reclaimed.
