Dr. Sands is making plenty of sense. We can't do it all one time regardless of political promises. Therefore just follow the plans that are already in process.

FTX failure was a blessing in disguise for The Bahamas. We learn what needs to be learned and move on to make things better. The right way to go is for the regulator to host a conference rather than an exchange or firm. Also having locally highly trained Bahamians put the icing on the cake.

We have the land. We have fresh water. We can produce cheap energy. The technology is available. What we lack is vision and risk-taking. We can feed ourselves and the entire Caribbean.

We were the first country out the gate now we playing catch up. Sand Dollar is designed to eliminate the use of ATMs or banking services. It is a direct charge with no fees involved. The hold-up has been trying to get the banks involved. The banks are not going to do anything unless they make money from it. So forget about the banks and get everyone involved. The strategy has been backwards. They were focusing on the people first rather than the merchants. Get all businesses on board with Sand Dollar first and the rest is elementary. What's the point of having a Sand Dollar account and no one is accepting it?

Arawak X suffered from the same problem most businesses and individuals face. They were operating above their means with future expectations of wealth. The world does not function like that. Companies that survive and grow do so organically. They start where they are, grow, save and expand. A company that operated in the digital space could have been run as a home-based business. There was no need for a luxury office in Sandy Port, new cars, expensive lunches and expensive staff. The entire operation could have been automated. Let this be a lesson for future entrepreneurs.

What most people including Maria Daxon don't understand is that when you forward something, you now legally own it. Once it comes from you then you are responsible for the content. What makes it ten times worse
is that Lincoln Bain had an hour-and-a-half Facebook address defending her. These people can't be serious about leading this country.

Bahamians are a peculiar set of people. We like foreign money and foreign products but don't like foreigners. All countries depend on Foreign Direct Investments to grow their economy. The anti-foreign attitude will suppress this country. Repealing this bill is a step backwards while others are moving forward. Most of the countries in the top 20 Ease of Doing Business have very relaxed immigration policies. The key to growing any economy is Free Trade, Relaxed Immigration and Anti-Corruption.
