Very disturbing. We must be honest with ourselves that, Alfred Gray will never oppose Christie. He is part of PGC's government/entourage. They are just beating around the bush, talking about all of this 'good samaritan' bull skate. This is outrageous, why do these PLP's encourage the atrocious/embarrassing actions of PGC? Is he that arrogant that he cannot accept sensible advice from hmm, the 'people' that he 'serves'? There needs to be a limit to the amount of terms one can serve as head of a government. It is obvious the effects of PGC's stroke and age is now catching up with him, he's slipping. This government is narcissistic, plain and simple. It dont take a smart person to see where PGC is wrong, so why does he feel the need to engage himself in such trivial issues? If he is going to intervene and clear Lightbourne, there is no doubt in this world as to why he should not do the same for every last Bahamian citizen in the same position. You dont just select and choose who you help. You make decisions that is supposed to benefit everyone as a whole. Many persons are without jobs, that possess the same or similar qualifications as Mr. Lightbourne, and he could easily be replaced. If Lightbourne cannot take care of his own priorities, how does it make him fit for his current position in the Ministry? This is more proof that cronies saturate the government, and they will never give an 'honest' man a chance and they will never be honest with the people. All the PLP does is cover up their mistakes with lame excuses, and we are the alleged 'fools' that will never ever know the TRUTH because there is no FOI.

What is the actual problem with Bahamians gambling in casino's? We are banded but we were never given a real explanation as to why? All we know is it is against the law..

Yep, all the boungy he want right there too.

If you think Minnis talking foolishness in opposition to what the Prime Minister is doing in this regard, then you sir are oblivious to the seriousness of what the PM is doing for Lightbourne.

JohnDoes says...

It has nothing to do with them. Their horse is not strong enough or of natural ability to affect that country. The U.S is just trying to intervene because they want to promote their 'peace keeping, democratic agenda' when they know they are in debt and cannot afford a military occupation in that country. The Ukraine was once apart of Russia, and now that it is falling apart, it is only right for Russia, 1 of 3 dominant communist countries in that area, to intervene and protect fellow Russians that tend to make up majority of Crimea's population. Also the black sea is an ocean outlet for Russia that will be very instrumental for them. Crimea's government is falling apart and they are on the verge of neo-nazism. Russia will be their savior. America cannot afford to intervene. Just like America wanting to conquest other countries in dire situations, who are they to tell rival Russia who is neighboring another country with majority of Russians that they cannot intervene and take over as well..?

Oh yes, I found it very, very disturbing that the PM insisted that he would clear all of Lightbourne's debt just to keep him on board the VAT machine. He sounded and looked so stupid saying that stuff on the News. Lightbourne is a property tax delinquent, and I dont see why the PM needs to clear his history compared to all the 'citizens' that support and pay this government. If this is the case, every last property tax delinquent Bahamian must be cleared of their history as well. Simply calling the bank and leaving a message is not enough. It wasnt even a task for the PM. He is just trying to make it seem like he is doing something. This PM is not in the realm of living for modern day Bahamians. The PM claims that Ishy was: 'significantly' underpaid compare to foreign consultants? Is he serious with that statement? You are admitting to your mistake of putting foreigners before Bahamians..? "...it is obvious that the call for the Government to dismiss Mr Lightbourne is a clear attempt to discredit and shoot the messenger, because there are those special interests who do not like the VAT message he is delivering on behalf of the Government." A clear attempt to discredit and shoot the messenger? The PM got it wrong, we aint tryna discredit him, he discredited himself when he chose to ignore paying his taxes, and thought it would go unnoticed like every other issue in this country and now that the people know this, you are going to blame us for not wanting to support him?? Damn, if this is how the PLP operates, we are doomed. This man deserves no special requests and bribery from the PM. What a shame this man is, he is continually showing us how he is not competent enough to run this country. He doesn't act like a leader, and doesnt have a leader personality, its like he is waiting on consultants and committees to tell him how to run a country.

The 'policemans' dude, The 'bahamalanders public floggn Bran' dude. He has some good posts, but I get weary of reading them because its hard to understand what he is trying to say. I find myself dissecting his post to figure out why he couldnt have said it simpler.

JohnDoes says...

Im sorry Fred. Even though you are a Foreign Affairs Minister, your words or advice is not going to be acknowledged. The U.S doesn't have a horse in the race, so why was this statement made again? You cannot even acknowledge the answers from your own people, yet who are you to offer advice on how the Ukraine is dealing with their problems? We've got our own problems, and we are still awaiting for a response, yet your colleagues in your department do this??
