"Some political observers are of the opinion that by his actions, Mr Moultrie is agitating for Parliament to be prorogued, forcing an election."
No maam !!! The Speaker is agitating for a toilet to be installed in his office. He has been asking for over a year. How long should he wait for a toilet? What is the normal wait time for such matters? This has to do with nothing else. He will keep turning up the volume, until government pays a plumber or one comes by and installs one for free. He feel he has sufficiently begged the Cabinet Office (which is not a part of the independent legislative branch) for the funding, and also for a few extra dollars in case he might need a new pencil. However, he finds himself in the position of a beggar, going with hat in hand to the Cabinet office - a beggar just like the rest of us - therefore a man of the people in the truest sense of the term.
Why can't he pick up the phone to London, as the Official Opposition Leader if the Constitution is not being followed? Or protest by making it public that because of this lawlessness the PLP will sit outside on chairs outside the House for all House sessions for the remainder of this month. When questioned why they are not doing their job, he can reply "we are not allowed to do our job." These people TALK too much, but never follow up with action. Just saying "oh, they wronged me" and moving on like nothing happened, does not help. The person will just "wrong you" again - and your supporters will wonder what you good for.
Yep, just another way to ensure that each and every Bahamian knows that they are a beggar. Beg for your rights. We are 'giving' you something, you can come down to the office and beg for it. If we like your foot shuffle, we will grant it.
The Chinese will end up buying it and rice will come out the spigot with ya water. Just jook ya pot under dere then tro on da stove, one time. Muddo !!!
There is a place in Miami called Jethro's that does great food wholsale. Imagine how many cases of food could br brought in for the poor with just $1M out of that $65M could buy!! But, no, they will give coupons for retail. No vision.
