"...he added that moving to a so-called “livable wage” - a promise contained in the Davis administration’s Speech from the Throne - is an aspiration that is much further away."
Bahamians don't need a livable wage. They are quite happy with the way things have been for the past 45 years - that's why they keep voting in the same FNM and PLP.
Why would you change the living conditions for people who are already happy?
The Bahamas will be the LAST country on Earth to remove all the restrictions - just like we are last in everything else. We're used to it, long time. So this story is not even news.
I wonder what other country someone could into and close a major road on the basis of a promise, then leave the country and the fools keep the road closed for decades afterward?
Appreciate your comment, but NO. They are saying they need that long to release the data that they actually have in hand right now. They could simply hand it over - but they won't.
Walking around "vaccinating" people with some kinda ting that the manufacturers have said they will need 75 years to release all the data on how they designed it. I guess under the law, stupidity is simply a requirement.
Oh my God !!!! TWO kids died "from Covid" in 2 years. Shut the economy down !!!! Lock everyone in their homes !!! Stick masks on their faces!!! Let's ruin the education and lives of ALL of the rest of our children !!! Let's increase suicides, alcoholism, drug addiction, child abuse, and wife battery !!!
That will teach that virus a lesson and chase it from our shores. LOL.
Whatever kind of fund it is, im sure poor Bahamians wont be allowed to participate. All of these things require $5000 minimum to invest, and if youre a poor Bahamian you have to bring 5000 documents and IDs along with the cash.
I recall reading that back in slavery days there were a few "uppity" blacks just like these teachers. Expecting this and wanting that. Why can't they just shut up and take whatever the government gives them and be quiet?
Besides, it's only children's futures we are talking about - and nobody cares about broken condoms.
