Good. I no longer live on PI, but at times locals and even tourists want options other than the overpriced food/beverages you get at Atlantis.

Totally agree. An irresponsible owner and a poorly trained dog are a dangerous combination. And, unfortunately, it’s the dog that pays the price.

Ms. Richard, my condolences to you and all of Mr. St. John's family and friends.

You hit the nail right on the head about the holier-than-thou hypocrites.

A Bahamian not being able to legally go into the casino for recreation (for instance, with visiting friends/family) protects the country's integrity how?

So, you're not going to interfere with the Bahamian that gambles his/her wage away at a web shop but will discriminate against someone who may want to enjoy an evening at the casino with visiting family/friends. Government cannot control everything - the person who is addicted to gambling is going to find a way to blow his/her money.

Wow. How ridiculous to expect to get paid your salary and still collect NIB. Kinda like collecting NIB unemployment payments while you are working.

Josie says...

It's a shame. I cannot go into a casino and play slots when family/friends comes to visit, all because someone else may go right from work to gamble their pay away should gambling be "legal" for Bahamians. That person still finds a way to gamble their pay away.

If vendors did not renew their business license, that is all the notice they need that they may be shut down.

As for "selective enforcement," how is it any different than having police at random roundabouts to check for licensing or other violations?

And since when do police need to consult with someone as to the best time to check that they are in compliance with the law?
