did you know the province of British Columbia 11 years ago has had a carbon tax to lower their GHG levels, want know the results of those taxes placed to change the behaviour for those using carbon bases products, the GHG have increased
i'd like to continue this conversation but you appear to be at a disadvantage you believe what you read on the internet
as Sgt Friday said Just the facts Just the facts Mam
was in Univ when hurricane Betsy blasted the Bahamas, it was not in any of the papers in Canada for days after the devastating storm has passed the Bahamas into the US
The Laurentide Ice Sheet was almost 3 kilometres (2 miles) thick and covered North America from the Canadian Arctic all the way to the modern U.S. state of Missouri, 18,000 years ago thank goodness for climate change or we'd be all living in the equatorial belt
It is madness to think humans have done any damage to the climate in the last 25 century's
you perhaps may want to really looks at records and facts on hurricanes before posting just saying
Don't know how old you are, but I can remember a time when a storm was a few lines in the local Bahamian papers, today if there is a thunder storm in Timbuktu it is on the weather channel for a week
That's a statement that is 100% accurate, what is needed is a new political mindset, the days of this 3rd world mentality are done, where are the forward thinking avant garde Bahamians, they exist, the time is NOW for them to show their presents
Jumping Jehoshaphat is this sitting government this out of touch, there is no pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, there no no magic beans, no one is going to lend or finance unless there is a benefit to them, meanwhile we have a man looking as if he saw oncoming headlights as he open his eyes this morning. Bahamian there is a saying that is becoming very applicable daily, the light at the end of the tunnel, might be a bear with a lantern, sad sad state of affairs for the Bahamas
This will be the NORM for some time to come, the FNM and the PLP are not even remotely close to be in charge of any rebuilding plan, this will require outside professional help, billions of capital and no political grandstanding
Spot on the Bahamas is in need of a political remake the model since independence is flawed corrupt and tainted beyond words, I find it incredibly disturbing there are not better leaders in the wings
the need for cable/lines will still be needed, the myth of solar being the answer is just that a myth, it is extremely expensive, want to see the cost, look at the billions Ontario Canada has spent
