I say it again, make residency dependent on a minimum amount of time foreigners have to stay in the country. Raising the minimum purchase amounts do nothing but make money for developers and agents. You want residency... you gotta stay a minimum of 180 days in country.
You make a very good point. I would bet what's left of my covid emergency fund jar, the bills are being paid by the CB (lunches, tea times and toilet breaks included).
What a bunch of crap. These politicians and upper level "management" characters are more concerned about their so called reputation than actually doing their jobs. Ballooned egos have always been a problem with these guys. Take a lesson from Jerome Powell who probably gets insulted once every second and still doesn't go crying to his lawyer. Our central bank is a bad joke in every aspect of its sorry existence.
Decades of government corruption and incompetence have led to people trying to grab what they can just to survive. Government can't blame the people for something they do themselves. If the FNM and PLP would "lead by example" then everyone else would follow.
Damn right. Every other day you read stories about crypto wallets being hacked and emptied. Not to mention about your accounts being cleaned out by hackers. I sleep better knowing my wallet is under my pillow and my baseball bat is next to my bed.
At least someone is paying attention. Galanis has long been suffering from sticky fingers syndrome. He's right up there with Raymond Winder and the rest of the so called 'accountants'.
You're completely right. Of course not a single one of these guys (Ingraham, Christie, et al...) talks about how much money went unaccounted for during their time. Probably because a good chunk of it found its way into their pockets. Just wait and see what will happen after the next election. If the PLP gets it, it will be time to fill some brand new empty pockets. If the FNM gets it, a lot more of the same crap we got now.
