I do not know why each government continues to place a band aid fix on the hospital. There needs to be a newly constructed hospital. The current hospital is just not worth the added dollars. Make it a pediatric hospital. At least the parts that are good enough.
The main issue is, we do not have the resources nor space for any extras. It is what it is, the United States themselves dont take them in, they drop them off here. Yet no one makes noise about that. Send them home just as fast as they come.
I think we have a two fold issue here, 1 is healthcare needs to be made more efficient and more cost friendly, 2 we as Bahamians need to make going to the doctor a regular practice, we are habitual to only find the doctor when we feel our worse. Pmh needs an overhaul and staff need a supervisor or a hospital admin whom is serious about service and lives. Its sad to say but the Bahamian nurses are the worse.
If they are wrong charge them, if they are not apologize and make this cause a cause to bring change and awareness to the sickness she faced. A life lost is never something to take lightly.
church needs to speak up more about many things, these pastors need to stop trying to get their names in the eye of politicians in order to receive some type of post or recognition.
a business cannot survive on providing charity. If its cutting the profits it must be adjusted. When the government learns to provide help for its citizens, not by hand out but by making some fiscal changes and lowering of taxes that cant help households, nothing will change. Erything rises but your salary. It has to make sense both ways
here again we meet the typical Bahamian business model, lets copy what everyone . If I had a gas station it would be self service. Hire staff for inside and cashiers to keep the line flowing.
