The PLP are a bunch of crooks. BEC/BPL should have been revamped in the early 2000's, nearly 17 years ago! After elections they will allow BPL to do whatever they want with the base price.
Why aren't they changing legislation and promoting alternative renewable energy?? This will obviously take the strain off off of BPL. Maybe it's because the government collect on every gallon of fuel sold in the Bahamas. They are too lazy and greedy to implement alternative energy and figure out how to tax it.

What Shaunae Miller did last night was not only win the Olympic Gold in the 400 with, in my opinion the closest and greatest finish to an Olympic race, but she also defeated the most decorated female USA track athlete of all time. a monumentous moment for Shaunae Miller and the Bahamas.
This is just great! All the "leaders" are blaming one another. A true sign of a sinking ship. Someone should be a leader, step up take responsibility for the countries state, and offer a serious sound plan to address these pressing issues before the country is lost. Perhaps they are ALL to arrogant, dismissive, self-centered, and egotistical. May as well move to the moon...
This practice has been going on in the family islands for a long time. Just another reason why foriegn investment is becoming less and less attractive, even at a micro level. This country is decades away from being fixed...
Unfortunately this is not surprising. Our jails have been a disgrace for decades, our police force and government agencies don't use common sense. Internationally these conditions should not be acceptable. There should be at least some sort of standard, even for prisoners. On top of that they confiscated her winnings! Not really surprised. Our citizens should coup and take over the Bahamas... I am done waiting, watching and listening...
