Dem Trinidadians rip our monies here in the Bahamas from the policy holders (many who are now deceased) and turn around, pay the big bosses millions living off the hog in Trinidad, invest in all kinda foolishness including that Wellington Preserve garbage! Mr. Gomez is doing all that he can to return to policy holders and the Bahamian people what he can from these rip deals, now the Trinis talking foolishness but they should get their monies first?
It sure looks so. Now my co-workers and friends can appreciate why I call New Providence "Goat Village" or "Fishing Pillage" cause this is the mentality of the people.
TAL That is a lie you should know better. I'm from Abaco and as a little boy to now I have seen the progress. I have the photos from a little boy. I have the video and I am proud to say that from 5 years to 30+ now, even after the hurricanes devastate Abaco, the people overcome and the place is beautiful. My only wish is that I want Treasure Cay to return to what it was. A tourist hub where the hotel there was booming back then.
I was thinking the same thing! The same day the signs were posted. There are not many things for tourists to do in the evenings over here though. We need to reramp our tourism product.
I think that the same ole' persons are in tourism management positions who are completely out of touch, out of sight with ideas on how to re-brand our image. There are a lot of young energetic persons who went to school, who has the marketing skills, who has the vision to take the Bahamas forward, but unfortunately our culture and ideas are dependent on the vision of the same ole... same ole... and until then we obviously will get the same. The thinking is such that, if the idea comes from a young person, it's not a chance worth thinking.
Yep, people should be mindful that what you say in public will stay around for a pretty long time. I don't know what she was thinking. Mr. Ingraham is a very smart man and I am pretty sure he was anticipating a strong response from the video.
I was at the rally when Mr. Ingraham played the clip and I must say, it was flawless psychology at play to mess with the heads of the plp. I'll tell you one thing, in all my years observing politics, even as a little boy, I have never heard two cents from the Dame. Mr. Ingraham must have caused her to lose sleep over the video!
