Its also complicated because the US dive operators came to the Bahamas and scouted new sites, set up tours and did all the work establishing these sites. Stuart still has a good shark dive operation in Nassau but because of its popularity he has now started doing tours to the sites set up by these operators and now wants the gov to make it harder for them so he can get the biz. The US operators don't add alot to the Bahamas comunity but it does produce a lot of advertivement for the Bahamas and then that translates into more overall tourism. It seem to happen alot all over the world a foreigner come and sets up a biz and does all the work to get it going and known to tourists and locals come and set up biz too to take advantage of its popularity, that is great and how it is suposed to work but then the locals want it all and try to get the gov to shut down or hinder the foreigners so they can get all the biz. The US was sucessfull because it attracted the best and most inovative people from all over the world to come and inovate. If you want a great country you need to atract great people from everywhere with outside ideas, if you make it to hard the inovaters will go elsewhere.
