Conversion of BS$ in US$ is a good idea, but which would be the realistic conversion rate? I heard that last government experts estimated the BS$ value at 0,6 US$.
Zero VAT is excellent idea. Just offset with Zero civil servants except police and schools. Health and Pension insurance open the market and privatize. The rest isn’t really needed.
The country needs 2 serious parties, that’s the chosen system. But arrogance in a bubble was the biggest failure. So a completely competent same time humble and modest new crew is urgently needed in the best interest of the country. Good luck Bahamas you deserve it. Let the current dinosaurs retire before dying out.
As long as any government is on board no investor will touch any of these projects. There are only 2 options - the government doing on its own, or sell to investors with minimum conditions regarding landing fees. Considering the financial situation sale would be better. $1 and good luck to the investors.
