Perfect deal - Contribute to the campaign and we guarantee a twenty year rental/lease arrangement at exorbitant rates! Everybody Wins except the Bahamian people
What a joke of a country we have. Instead of opting for a lottery to directly fund sports, schools or our recurrent deficits we decide to enrich and then protect 8 individuals. Individuals that admittedly broke our laws are now legitimized and benefit from a ten year moratorium. UNFlicking believable. Then we turn around and the Government signs long term leases on their buildings, we turn a blind eye to the private mortgages in the west and now talking about banking licenses??? Y'all better pray that Moody's doesn't figure this mess out - correspondent banking is only the beginning ...#ishame
Waste of Money and Time - Simple call to the only real hotel on the island would have confirmed that they had less than 50% occupancy and most of that were the friends family and lovers flown in from Nassau by the Government - SMFT!!!
Wyclef has not been shy to speak on the Haitian/Bahamian issues and I hope they know what they doing by inviting him. I am still interested in what these folks are being paid - Wyclef is a has been but still demands a premium especially in these kinds of circumstances. How much is he being paid and whats the gulf between the local acts and the guests? They are spending the peoples money and we would like to know
"Expand?' They have a job now? The largest opportunity has been given away and I still can't uunderstand why our free press isn't able to tell me who owns this company and verify whether they received funding from the Chinese Government funded entity that is redeveloping Bay Street -
What the hell does this have to do with politics - The Government turned over management to a foreign company whose owners are still unknown to The Bahamian people - Can they not be held accountable for what happens on the property they profit from and if they are incompetent can they be fired for breach of contract (if we ever see one) - Join the protest at Bahamar on Sunday!
