P. Carl Gibson, a son in the diaspora of The Bahamas, has completed his new book “Behind Grey Curtains”: a conversational and enlightening commentary on the islands of The Bahamas’ struggle and rise from colonial rule to self-government.
Author Gibson writes, “Even though my views were always progressive and liberally inclusive I frequently wrote letters to the Editors of local newspapers and decried the pace of economic dislocation of people from the islands of Mayaguana, Inagua, Acklins and Crooked islands from 1969 – 1974. . . I retain the belief in the innate premise of human equality, civil rights and fair play under the rule of law may be acknowledged. The silence of injustice cries out from the hill top seeking justice as I stood behind the grey curtains I said a prayer. We shall overcome. . .”
Published by New York City-based Page Publishing, P. Carl Gibson’s unconventional narrative highlights the triumphs and trials of a young country’s birth and years of growth into a stable, independent nation, giving tribute to the patriotic figures who fought for freedom and peace.

“I don’t know of any witch hunt that is going on. This is just political hypocrisy, political grandstanding, by the PLP… The mischief that Fred Mitchell and others have been fostering is unacceptable.” - Fred Smith, QC
The esteemed Leader of the Opposition Phillip Brave Davis, kept saying 'Give me your hand. I will lead you back to the land called P.L.P".
Seeking to avoid any upheaval now or ever, it remains clear to many in the islands of the Bahamas that to just admit they i.e. The P.L.P. government under Prime Minister Perry Christie op·u·lence with choas, the people had had enough and rose up and spoke with such trep·i·da·tion, many are running to the hill and saying " I told you so?" or "It's not me."
But listen to Mr. Whatucallhim who just said was; "Where was Whatucallshe?
Another said "Wilcombe was in the choir and never said two cents because greasing the pan was easy to do. Then said "Sit down and be quiet."
What ac·ri·mo·ny?

"Behind Grey Curtains" by P. Carl Gibson, could very well as of the May 10th, 2017, show how generations of Bahamian people rejected the dogmas that the P.L.P, (Progressive Liberal Party) led by Prime Minister Perry Christie has been per perpetrating, resulting in the ascension of Dr. Hurbert Minnis with a resounding victory in Parliament, bellows a new and complete trans formative change in what the society wants and demands.
Look at 1968 to 2012, more than a generation of people has been borned and their is still so much hardship in the land.

Read the classic essays on fate and the chilling in depth dissection of the crime blitz invading the Bahamas (1975 - 2016).
Centuries ago they (i.e.) the Caribs, The Loyalists from the Carolinas, Andrew Jackson, George Washington and even the Arawak Indians marked the island of New Providence, Bahamas. No one knows why for sure ... until now.
P. Carl Gibson believing that government is a monopoly of force to protect and enforce rights for all the people even while it had become fashionable to advance the interest of oneself instead of the country, many patriots known in the islands of the Bahamas embraced the future together with strength and the belief that the greater good of the country would prevail for all the children of the July 10th independence revolution.
Behind Grey Curtains is a clear view of where the country should be headed for growth and prosperity for all.

“Behind Grey Curtains” by P. Carl Gibson decodes a development agenda for the Bahamas that ought to be told.
Mr. P. Carl Gibson is indeed a brilliant storyteller of the history of the new and independent nation, which has demonstrated and thrived minimally to grow and or parcel out with fairness to all residents any sense of pride, where equilibrium should be praised and admired.
