Centuries ago they (i.e.) the Caribs, Andrew Jackson, Lord Proprietors, the 3,000 Black Loyalists from British America and even the Arawak Indians marked the islands of the Bahamas.
No one knows for sure or why until now.
Read the classic essays on fate and the chilling in-depth dissection of the crime blitz invading the Bahamas (1976 - 2017) and the lack of vision for any future economic development and commerce that cries out throughout the territory for liberty and progressive growth.
P. Carl (Gibson) recalled the patriotic acts of natives like Sir Lynden O. Pindling, Hon. Milo Butler, and Hon. Arthur Foulkes,. Hon Cecil Wallace Whitfield, Hon. Kendal G.L. Isaacs , Hon Edmund Moxey and Hon. Arthur Hanna and extra ordinary men like Capt. Daniel Gibson aka Bulla Danny, Mr. Levi McPhee, Mrs. Mildred Williamson, Mr. Lionel Taylor, Constable Louis Williamson, Rodney Collie and Pastor Alexander Brown, who selflessly sought to better the way forward for generations to come.
These people rejected arrogance for passion and duty.
P. Carl (Gibson) believing that government is a monopoly of force to protect and enforce rights for all the people and that while it had become fashionable to advance the interest of oneself instead of the people. Many patriots known in the islands of the Bahamas embraced the future together with strength and the belief that the greater good of the country would prevail.

"Behind Grey Curtains," comprehensively decodes a development plan for the island of the Bahamas 2017 and beyond.

Inequality in the islands of the Bahamas

The treatment of how inequality and social evaluation is determined in the islands of the Bahamas involves many dilemmas.
Look at Adam Smith’s concern with the interests of the “poor” and (any anger at the tendency for those interests to be overlooked and neglected) connects naturally to a concept of what looks like to an “impartial observer” an enquiry that offers many comprehensive insights on the requirements for fairness in social equity and justice throughout the islands of the Bahamas may be applicable.
Patent inequalities in social arrangements and advancement is hinged to the knowledge that people have gotten to depend on political hawks to get employment and while may benefit from a judicial system of justice that could bear heavily on the entrepreneurial stream of dormant skills waiting to be release from our citizens.
Can we say that the dna, fnm, plp or you name it (i.e.) any political groupings are prepared to advance an agenda that takes the country from the reliance on tourism into a wider economic timetable where all the islands could grow and the people benefiting from the same?
That is the question Comrades, Partisans, Indigenous people of this land we called Bahamas?
I must concur a coalition of many Candidates have presented to the public vast ideals where many areas our government could be “of the people and for the people” in the Parliament of the Bahamas.
I hope the country’s interest would be placed first and then all the children throughout the Commonwealth would be “a proud bahamian” child.
May the Universal God BLESS the Bahamian people.

" You've also just come from having perhaps the best Prime Minister ever i.e (Hubert Ingraham) - certainly, one of the best - to having someone who appears determined to give away much of our Sovereign land over to .the highest bidders and speculators ever. Supported by the PLP - which despite all of its howling about history, is showing its true colors as a thin-skinned, xenophobic, no doctrine of compromise and not a progressive presence in the landscape."

" Aucune autre race sur la terre, c'est-à-dire le peuple des Bahamas qui a dû endurer ce que nous avons et pourtant nous continuons à essayer d'être de bons citoyens et de vivre une vie meilleure tout ce que nous pouvons, malgré tout ce qui est fait contre nous, Esprit pour notre grandeur dans le temps est notre force et la valeur hors de tous à voir."

My parents was Born in the islands of the Bahamas Jul 19th, 1943 they had 9 children for one man and they have now thirteen grand children we are all Bahamain Frenchmen and women. We love this land and our people.

I know I've been hitting you over the head like a madman these last few days.

But I see it as my moral duty to shake you and get you to realize that the path you're heading down does NOT end well.

The old tale "Be a good son or daughter. Get good grades. Got to college. Find a good job. Put away money into your retirement account and you'll be just fine." no longer works.

It may have in the past… but it's become a LIE.

The old way to comfort has become the way to a life of financial stress, crushing debt and a complete lack of freedom.

And yes… I know I've been telling you this time and time again.

But it bears repeating.

The elders of the July 10th , 1973 era failed us greatly, by not compelling the government to take care of the old, the sick and the Over the Hillers, besides they did not give us Health insurance, better schools, some of us managed to go away and got education somewhat in London, England, New York, Washington, Miami, San Francisco and beyond, but we never came back home because the political rulers looked upon the returning children with suspicion. But what were we to do? We had to feed our children and live the life the Creator gave us. You hear me? Now its time we get a hold of this decaying situation and vote for economic stability and full employment for all. National equality and fairness. Also people who lost their jobs because they were not Partisans of the parties that won the elections, we need to down sized the size of the payroll of the government and start to create new and bold ways to assist our country men and women to move forward into the future. Pre K for all children in the Family islands and the Bahamas in general and get away from the notion that every one must rely on Tourism as a natural industry for employment and attract other types of economic activities.

VOTE for a Balance Budget and a smaller government with accountability and demand that the government do what is right. I know we have been let down so many times before and no one rebelled but have shown patience we are to congratulate our countrymen and women. Hold on Countrymen and women we gotto trust ourselves this time and vote for change.

VOTE for CHANGE..

Looking to track "quality of life crimes, namely in Nassau ever likely? Maynergy@gmail.com Police Commissioner, has yet to pledge to get tough with quality of life offenders. Now, how could he hope for trust alongside the history of rising crimes of terror in part to the invasive drug incursions of the recent years in a number of localities namely New Providence and other urban cells in the northern Bahamas. In what maybe a first crime initiative since Sept 11, 2015, Police Commissioner could began in the climate of political intrigue and electioneering, crack down on so called nuisance crimes as does the department with more serious local ordinance violations and infractions. Maynergy@gmail.com believes a map of quality of life hot spots around the islands could began to track trends of shootings, robberies, burglaries, car theft, crimes associated with gambling, vehicular homicides and domestic violence. Further to garner reasonable results, publicizing a crime hotline, available nationwide as a totally free telephone number, 24/7, could very well loan to community participation in tactling the menace. Crime has reached a level unacceptable to rational civil order in New Providence as District police Commanders has yet to be held accountable for how they deal with crime in the area(s) assigned to cover. Community tolerance of crime in Blue Hill, Fox Hill, Yellow Elder, Bamboo town, Carmichael could be lowered and a dramatic upsurge in residents' awareness levels increase while acceptance of sober social norms returning. Basically how members of the community began to deal with one another should be a strategy of great concern to the Commanders. No doubt aggressive street hookers, peddlers, panhandlers may be notorious throughout town, loud and excessive rowdiness,wilding-out and music, irate citizens have become less likely to seek police assistance, due in part to residents overall confidence in the police machinery has faded over the years. Police Commissioner has yet to pledge a tough and reasonably community based police approach to crime stoppage and prevention with legitimacy and resolution to bring down the high blitz-levels of quality of life crime and fear in the metro Nassau area. Murder, manslaughter, vehicular homicides, cargo theft, domestic violence and widen drug incursions throughout central Nassau is a known fact, statistics has been alarmingly high for 12 years, compared to cities with population of less than 500,000 people. Police Commissioner and the Prime Minister have yet to repeatedly stress whether strict enforcement would be forthcoming. Maynergy@gmail.com believes quality of life crimes should become more a targeted plan for crime reduction and public concern in 2015 - 2017.

In the long run, nothing a government can do, does more good for the people that creating and adopting good policies for creative innovative economic growth.
What this government or most government do is to either accelerate or decelerate long run economic growth - i.e the most important aspect of macro-economic policy.
Nothing matters more in the long run for the quality of life in an economy that its long run rate of growth.
Consider this, for a more sustainable prognosis, using the spending and credit powers of the national government to affect the economy is an awesome way to further open up the economic umbrella for further stimulus in the family islands could be a trigger which could loan more prosperous outcome for everyone who embraces new enterprising and emerging trends to succeed.

Imagine Bahamas beyond 2017 with a patriotic nationalist government that set up and establishes a functional people oriented regime with the following for the betterment of the people:
a) S.O.R.S (Strategic Oil Reserve Supply) To minimize the lack of petroleum throughout the territories and the maintenance /regulation of fair pricing & market stability.
b) B.M.T.S (Bahamas Maritime Tracking System) i.e. Installed in all mail boats etc plying the national waters for a minimal fee. c) N.C.M (National Cellular market) – deregulation and opening cellular services to competition. d) I.I.A.T ( Inter island Air Transportation). e) I.I.T.B ( Inter island tourism board). f) New postal rates for mass mailers/advertisers/bulk mailers. g) Housing department that renders residents a helping hand not a hand-out. h) B.T.A. ( Bahamas Transportation Authority) A semi –quasi agency that administers the mass movement of people in New Providence island and throughout the island nation. i) National Prescription Drug plan to ensure the pricing of imported drugs may be cost effective and more reasonably priced. Now we can Bahamas.

Revolutionary changes of restructuring class, property, political, civil rights, gender equality, economic, foreign and inter-island-policy and commerce and regional affairs confronts any new Prime Minister, who must work to eliminate the dependence on tourism and broaden the nature the tourist-dollars could contribute to the opening of many other economic inter-activities and political autonomous models for the islanders
