I would imagine all of these loans are registered as mortgaged properties to BOB. We just need an industrious search clerk to figure out who is whom. The 100 million is not the whole thing ikalikl, BOB is still holding onto another 200 mil in similarly bad condition. I know he is PLP to the bone, but he is also a professional man and one has to wonder how he could get his good name mixed up with this absolute shit. Former Central bank Governor ? . If you get a bank note signed by him take it in your bathroom and use it. Then take it to the Central Bank to get it changed. Put it in a plastic bag of course.
marrcus: I understand that the pool and waterway deal was done in the USA. Nevertheless, Osprey may have to tell what happened as they are owed 50 million and facing bankruptcy themselves. My guess is that they were sub-contracted by a US firm which had the main contract. Perhaps their Bahamas Banker, which must have advanced them credit facilities to build all of this stuff, is holding something from the main contractor. Shakespeare said"The Truth Will Out". I guess we just have to wait.
Did everyone miss the press release showing Brave signing for a 100 Million Dollar Loan for this piece of shit airline. It didn't say if there was a finders fee though. Maybe there wasn't one.
Absolutely marvelous and right on the money. It totally baffles me however that you can write all of this in our daily newspaper but none of the opposition politicians, or in fact government politicians, will put these questions in the House of Assembly. This is where it all falls down. More that half of the people in this country cannot read, and most don't understand, and that is why the PLP can be elected time and time again. ( of course the money in the tee shirt helps a lot too but. ) I am so tired of the lackluster opposition never saying a bloody thing. They have protection in the HOA and proceedings are televised and our people will understand what they are talking about. Keep it going my friend.
It should be possible under the USA Freedom of Information legislation for anyone to discover who this bribe taker is and spill the damned bean's here. This talk of getting all the evidence together is bullshit - sorry. They know who it is and don't want to say and probably don't want to prosecute either. We have to keep the heat on the AG. Even if it drags her down too. The Bribe Taker probably has some beans that can be spilled too !!! God don't like ugly !
The matter of the Government paying the Bahamian employees may end up being settled in the courts, but as far as I can tell the Bahamas Government MUST still pay for the Roadwork without deduction. As I for one do not want to pay any part of the staff payroll costs, I would suggest that some legal mind ( Fred Smith ) should sue the Cabinet Members collectively for recovery of this money. If they don't have to pay they'll do the same shit again tomorrow.
Gomez had mentioned bringing an action against Allison Maynard Gibson for corruption, as I recall. What happened to that initiative ? Did someone stop him ? He has her red handed. Family fingers in the cookie jar. Slam dunk !
