What value is there in a PLP sponsored referendum - they do whatever they damned well please. Or what they are paid under the table for. How many numbers is that ?
Does anyone know how, ( in law ) the Government can arbitrarily "pay" the baha mar employees out of money that it owes the hotel ???? Maybe I could pay for my groceries out of money that I owe to Finco for my mortgage ? How does that work ? My head is spinning ! Surely they will still owe the money for the road work ?????
ikalikl: You would be better to speak in the past tense as opposed to future. All of these things have already come to pass. Comrade Tal in another place would be a suicide bomber for the government I think. The country has GONE They have sold out Irrevocable damage has been done already It is too late
If we don't have hard currency invested or spent by tourists here then we have to borrow it from someone who has it. If our credit rating is cut to junk ( very likely now ) only loan sharks will be willing to loan it to us. Even the Chinese will be Leary of lending this government any money.
When, not if, this country collapses into oblivion, the same PLP's that you cant find now will eat Christie and his cohorts up. They ( PLP Supporters ) are largely at the bottom of the food chain and will be the first to feel the pain and suffering. When this country cannot obtain enough hard currency to buy grits and flour, we will either have to make it, or do without it. It will be difficult to sell our junk bonds to anyone, even at a significantly higher interest rate. We will be worse than Greece which has the safety net of the EU. Who do people think we have to rely on, in our independent sovereign nation. We got us, and that is it.
Gowon Bowe is a funny fella. After pointing out the pitfalls of Vat, someone must be sweet him up and he fall right in the vat. Now Christie says he wants PwC to be the liquidator and he jumps right in the vat again. I think NOW is a good time for him to resign from the BCCEC. You can't be in the Government's pocket AND properly represent the commerce of this country that the Government is hell bent on destroying.

I would guess both !!! I don't think PLP's read the Tribune - Maybe they can't read. I don't think DNA people read it either which is a great pity.
